It was a warm, breezy afternoon, the perfect day as far as far as Adriel was concerned. Even though she was a pyrokinetic, she wasn't very fond of super-hot weather...she'd take upper 70s over 90s any day, and she always enjoyed a cool breeze. And, during this weather, the beach was her favorite place. She found the sounds and smell of the ocean to be relaxing, and she enjoyed walking barefooted in sand. Sometimes it was to the point that she couldn't help but wonder if her being a pyrokinetic was somehow a mistake. All things considered, she wasn't that fond of fire, or it attributes. It was an almost purely destructive element, and she hated violence. She even, at times, wondered if there was a way to change her element. She would be fine if it meant losing the abilities she had somewhat reluctantly developed...just so long as she could use her power without fear of accidentally hurting someone or destroying something.
Try as she might, Adriel couldn't shake these thoughts from her head as she wandered aimlessly on the sand. However, it wasn't enough to ruin the pleasant experience she was feeling. As much as she disliked them, she has long since grown used to her destructive powers. She had even found a few small uses for them...outdoor cooking, lighting dark areas and such. Sure, she had to be extra careful, but that too was something she learned to do over time, steadily improving with each passing day. All in all, it wasn't really as bad as she made it out to be, though she still couldn't help but wonder 'what if'.
She wore a simple outfit, consisting of a loose sleeveless dress that went down to her knees. It was the perfect thing for this type of weather, especially since she wasn't quite brave enough to wear a bathing suit or a bikini...especially a bikini. At times, she'd look at other women on the beach and wonder how anyone could ever want to wear something so revealing...then she'd blush like mad at the thought of wearing such "outfits". Then blush even more when she caught herself staring at such women. Letting out a heavy sigh as more and more thoughts manifested into her already heavily occupied mind, she decided to stop for a rest, sitting down in the sand and relaxing for it bit...it wasn't very often that she became so deep in thought, but when she did, it made it hard for her to do much else.

SIGN OF THE CHANGING TIMES.it is such a crime to be a paradigm, so many people have to think it's just a waste of time; but the truth is, the truth is a lie.
❚ words: 650 ❚ artist: pillar ❚ tags: adriel, zephyr WATER, WATER, AND THE OCCASIONAL sand—the sight of such a serene scene was of permanent memory, stained in perfect colors and senses in the abyss of a boy's cranium upon sight; a common view, a typical area for aquakinetics to dwell in—the ocean was home. The scent of salty air, the cawings of seagulls, the rumble of soft waves and crumbling foam—impossible, it was just impossible to forget what jolted through his muscles; he was able to taste the sweet wind, feel both warmth and playful breezes, see the haven for water-users, yet it made his entirety seem caged, helpless. On an island surrounded by nothing but sea, one had to ponder what laid beyond the blue, wonder if there had been a better society than their own. Discussions concerning places, people, things alien to the Utopias had frequently popped into his university lectures, sparking heated debates about the " what if's ". Half of his classmates were apathetic, perceiving thoughts of ' travel ' as stupid and pointless; the other half yearned for a bigger venture, a path out of the ' prison ', namely, the island.
What ' side ' he had leaned towards wasn't quite clear—he loathed thinking about the ideas, the concept, of coming in contact with other lands and foreigners; it made him ill, bitter. Even if, somehow, people managed to escape the confines of the Utopias, he couldn't leave—he couldn't ever abandon every expectation that had weighed onto his shoulders. Cowardice, it was cowardice to run from appointed duties. To consider the subject of liberty away from the island was sin because he felt a pang of jealousy for those who had the opportunity to chase after it, who had the ambition to drop everything, to lose everything or nothing. A small piece to a whole, he had seen the world map and had seen how tiny the floating mass was compared to every other continent—the history books never quite elaborated on the history behind them; the only connection in discovering tidbits of it was through the internet, the only reliable source.
Sighing, the youth scratched his head before manuevering his hand over his messenger's strap, adjusting it comfortably over his shoulders as he rammed hard-covered books into its unzipped mouth. The destination to the Ramsey manor wasn't too far off, perhaps another fifteen minutes or so of walking—he had only hoped for his lovely feline friend to greet him with its usual ' mew ', and that alone provided a little more reason to endure the realm of suffocating expectations... or maybe not, he mused upon fixing his focus on a certain silver-headed joker. Anywhere that jester was had existed no probable way to rest completely assured, especially if there was no underlying intent to rain on the Ramsey clan's territory—which, there commonly was, if anything. Strolling upon the white clumps of sand beneath him, curious eyes drifted over to his semi-formal attire, an unusual image when the majority were half-nude and baked under the blaring sun.
"Salutations, Zephyr,"
said the boy, stopping short a distance to greet the familiar Wilson member; his blue orbs wandered onto the young lady propped on the cushioned pavement, unsure if he should have darted back home and let the odd human fox work his creepy magic , "Hello, Miss..?" A small, timid smile dawned upon his effeminate features, observing the female brunette who appeared no older than seventeen. What was Zephyr doing chatting up a girl who appeared barely legal? ... oh, wait, this was Zephyr—nothing about the guy was normal. Azure temporarily planted his gray hues onto his wrist, locating the thin leather band around his hand to calculate the time of day , "Hm, I suppose I should get going ," He jammed his watch-bearing hand into his pocket, the other hand resting on his school case as he turned to the direction of his next halt , "Apologies for disturbing you two ." [/blockquote] ❚ notes: augh.[/blockquote]

The thoughts in Adriel's mind were constantly swirling, and she was caught off guard when she heard the voice of another person, almost jumping out of her skin. She settled down once she realized it was just another person, and she let out a sigh. She completely missed his first question, but once the second one registered, she nodded quietly "Oh...s-sure...I don't mind..." She wasn't even sure why she agreed so quickly. She hardly knew the guy. Maybe part of it was because she had been so lonely for all of these years. Besides, he seemed nice enough
Were she straight, she might have found him somewhat attractive...which wasn't to say she thought he was ugly. He just wasn't attractive in that way. Naturally, if she tried to describe it, it would make absolutely no sense. In truth, she didn't even grasp the concept of homosexuality. All she knew was that she found women to be more attractive, and enjoyed being around them a bit more. She never actually gave any thought to things like romance or love, though she was at a stage where she would definitely welcome it...just...from a girl.
Regardless, she felt a little awkward, sitting with a guy she had never seen before, yet, at the same time, she was kinda happy. She enjoyed meeting people, and, once she got past the initial awkwardness, she warmed up rather quickly. As long as they weren't rude or violent, of course. Then came another. A slender, somewhat effeminate young man. Again, she didn't find him attractive, but it was only because she preferred women. He seemed to know the person who sat next to her, but he also seemed to get the wrong impression about them. While she didn't quite grasp the implications of what Azure seemed to assume, she was quick to answer "N-no! You're fine. You're not interrupting anything. We barely just met."

† smile all the way † † through and through †It seems that she was caught off guard seeing she didn't answer his initial question. Oh what a same. "Oh...s-sure...I don't mind..." From the stops it was obvious that she was unsure. So either she saw him as strange or she was shy. From the looks of her clothes he would have to say the later. He sat down right next to her and stared out at the ocean while he was trying to come up with a conversation. Anything that would give him more information about her would be good. He always did like to learn about other people, it's quite fun. From making small far away observation to actually coming up to them and talking. Usually it was the later though since he never liked making far away observation unless he was at a party where there were a lot of people. Also talking to them gives him more information at a faster rate.
Before he could ask though he spotted a blue hair youth. Why if it isn't Azure. Now what was he doing at a place like this? It seems that Azure had spotted him as well as he walked over. Hopefully he won't ruin the fun. Despite the thought of how as usual he looked like some puppet he continued to smile. "Salutations, Zephyr,"
Once again he was polite which in the silver hair male's dictionary it meant 'once again he was bring boring'. He didn't say anything though and waved at the new arrival. Why hello there Azure." he greeted back but of course not as formally. They weren't at some party they were in public no point in keeping any image right? Yet it seems the boy was well trained, seems like the Ramsey family broke him rather easily. If it wasn't for the blue hair he would wonder how Azure was Eli's nephew with how different they were. The Ramsey sure was strange to say the least though all for one reason. He sought out Zephyr. Okay well maybe he wasn't actually looking for the Wilson but he walked up to him not the other way around. It wasn't like they were at the manor for him to cause trouble they were at the beach so there was no reason why. Yet here he was right in front of him. It was strange to say the least. Wait maybe he knew the girl? "Hello, Miss..?" Well there goes that idea. Even with Toshiko and Kaminari he showed that he knew them. With his current companion though that was obviously not the case. Now that he thought about it he hasn't gotten her name either. Looks like this was going to be his chance then. Or...not. It seems the girl either didn't liker her name or didn't want to give it out. "Hm, I suppose I should get going ," That was it? He was going to leave? No watching over the girl for what the aerokinetic might do? Then again even he wasn't sure what he was going to do to her. He was just going on his whims caused by boredom. Still Azure so heartless. Seems like he has a place to go to. Wait that was a school bag. Oh it was probably college. Wow how long has it been since Zephyr went to such a horrendous place? He didn't even want to think about it. Thanks to his intelligence and possibly the money his family has as well he was able to skip grades and finish his schooling rather quickly. Ever since then he only knew the dates he never knew the days. No point since it wasn't like he had a job well besides being first son but that was a twenty-four seven thing. Though it seems like the girl didn't want him to leave. Dang it. Doesn't she know Azure was only going to make things boring? Still he suppose he could use the Ramsey to gain information about her. He knew he couldn't do it the other way around, he was far too guarded. Yeah Azure the more the merrier." he stated. Besides how much fun would it be? Azure Ramsey, one of the most boring punctual person in the world who seems to like to do things early skipped school. Oh he could already see the reaction on people's faces.[/blockquote][/blockquote] tag;;adriel, azure words;; seven-two-seven notes;; hooky~
