there was nothing for her to do and if she stayed home any longer with her family, she was sure her head was going to explode. walking along the beach, two large dogs practically pulled her against her will as she let out a small laugh. beast and chaz had been so excited ever since she had mentioned the beach to them. they were practically children, more of a reason why she vowed to never have babies. barely able to keep up with her dogs how the heck was she going to handle kids?!
well, her arm was sure going to get yanked off by these two so she relieved them of their leashes and let them loose. milli took the consideration of other people believe it or not and actually made sure she was a good distance from the crowds. most were frighten by her female rottweiler, beast since she was just an intimidating creature. like mother, like daughter almost? laughing under her breath, milli sped walked as she found herself catching up to her dogs.
chaz, the german shepherd, wrestled with beast playfully. the two were like brother and sister practically even though they were completely different breeds. "beast, chaz, sit!" yelling the command both stopped what they were doing and calmly sat on the sand. "you two wild nuts, i swear." petting both of their heads as she pulled out a ball from her back pocket.
she watched them squirm, but not daring to move an inch from her previous command. joyfully, they eyed the ball with passion as if they've never seen it before. milli seriously thought it was extremely cute how they looked at it. "alright lady & gent, are you ready?" both stood on all fours automatically as if getting ready for the race of the lifetime and with the way she threw it probably was. "Go!" she shouted as she shot the ball in the far distance as both sped off with great speed.
finally getting herself some piece and quiet, milli laidback on the sandy beach knowing with those two it was going to be a hell of a long while till they came back. guess she could probably get a tan or something. letting out a yawn she closed her eyes as the sun gently warmed her skin. although, apparently some people doesn't take the time to notice that their in the way.
golden eyes glared up, she couldn't see who it was, but they sure as hell were blocking her sun and she wasn't going to have it. "hey bastard! get the hell out of the way," she yelled at the person, "blocking all the sun with that big ass head of yours!"

I'VE GOT SOMETHING SHE CAN SWALLOW, BUT IT SURE AS HELL IS NOT MY PRIDE There was only so much one could do in their life, and it sure as hell wasn't sitting around doing paperwork or preparing to run a family. That wasn't fun. Not at all. Life should be spent enjoying the good things, not dwelling on the bad, and for one raven-haired Alexii boy, there wasn't enough time for the good in life. He'd snuck out the back window in his room, carrying his rather large Alaskan Malamute along with him. Somehow the two mavericks were far enough away from home to do something that didn't evolve the name 'Alexii'.
The boy had trained his dog, Tuxedo, well, and tucked it's leash away in his back pocket, just in case there was a pedestrian or two who didn't like the fact that Tuxedo was walking around off leash. So far, no one said a thing, but rather continued on with their day to day life. The dog, of course, was thankful for this; it was enough for the large dog to have to wear a collar, but a leash was too much for the well-trained dog, who was faithful to his master no matter what.
The boy, Spike, crossed the street, Tuxedo following just a step behind him, sniffing out any curious fixation in the closest few feet. Spike reached down and scratched his dog behind the ears, earning a soft bark from the large creature. Spike turned left and walked down a short flight of wooden stairs that lead to the beach. The Northern Beaches weren't anywhere close to the Alexii residence, only a bus trip away - a bus trip his parents wouldn't dare to make. Spike led Tuxedo by the collar, watching for little children or whoever might have been on the beach. It wasn't long before Spike saw two other familiar dogs running in his direction, chasing a ball. Tuxedo, too, saw the ball as it came to a stop by the large dog's front paws. He picked it up, calmly, in his mouth. The black and white dog was nothing like the other two, he was trained by Spike to not race off without his master, unless Spike commanded it. Spike waved to Tuxedo, calling the large dog over.
The two dogs, Spike knew, belonged to his cousin, Milli, though he wondered what she would be doing on the beach as well. It didn't take Spike too long to find the girl laying out in the sun, presumably attempting to get a nice tan. Though Spike, being who he was, doubted she'd accomplish what she came here for. After all, she had two dogs a ways down the beach, wondering where their nasty old ball was.
Spike stood in front of her and stared at her with cold eyes, wondering why the hell she wasn't watching her two animals wrestling in the sand a ways off. "hey bastard! get the hell out of the way," Milli yelled, obviously not noticing it was her cousin standing over her with Tuxedo. "blocking all the sun with that big ass head of yours!"
Spike rolled his eyes. Typical Milli he thought, making a mental note not to move from this one place until the earth turned just enough that the sun would be in his cousin's face once again. Honestly, Spike didn't get it. Why did people waste their lives in front of the sun, waiting to get a terrible sunburn that would only later turn into a tan. It was as bad as smoking, really. Spike shook the thought from his head, he calmly took the ball from his dog's mouth and handed it, slobber and all, back to the girl, "You dropped this," he said, forcing himself to keep a straight face, though he was doubled over laughing on the inside. He knew both Milli and her two dogs would be pissed as hell that he took the ball, but why should he care? "Or, rather, your mangy mongrels did,"

sitting up she noticed a familiar dog and smiled happily as she kissed it on top of his head. "hey there tuxedo!" petting him gently as she rubbed the back of his ears, "no matter how old you get, you are such a cutie unlike your hateful master." she laughed then looked up at spike, she wasn't afraid of him. after having to grow up with him since she escaped from the womb, it was just a usual way of greeting each other. blinking at him, she noticed the ball he was holding and glared up at him. standing up on her feet, milli found herself almost eye to eye. he was just a little taller than her, damn growth spur of his that appeared out of nowhere when they were kids. taking the ball, she didn't show disgust from the drool, but simply wiped it on spike's shirt.
"to think the young master was so kind." milli's tone smoothly emitted sarcasm, "i guess your not that much of a hateful bastard afterall." walking away as she whistled for her dogs attention. beast was the first one to pounce on her, nearly losing her balance as she laughed out loud. the german shepherd stood by her, keeping his attention to all surroundings.
chaz was originally assigned as her guard dog, but soon just became part of the family. "relax chaz, no danger." besides spike, she added mentally, but not wanting to say it out loud. "i remember leaving the house and there was a pile of work on your desk." her attention almost completely on her cousin, "i'm guess the first son is escaping from his duties once again." this wasn't the first time he's done something like this and sure as hell wasn't going to be the last either.
milli was so used to spike randomly leaving the house, not that she could really blame him. the girl wouldn't have been able to bear the responsibilities of head of the family, but it was hilarious to bug him about all the things he had to do. "so, future head should i start dusting off the royal throne for you or am i planning a funeral?" she smirked at him.

I'VE GOT SOMETHING SHE CAN SWALLOW, BUT IT SURE AS HELL IS NOT MY PRIDE Spike stared at the girl, watching as Milli scratched Tuxedo behind the ears. "no matter how old you get, you are such a cutie unlike your hateful master." to this, Spike raised an eyebrow. He stared at Milli with the strangest of looks, "He's barely two years old, Milli," Spike reminded her, not wanting to mention his old dog who'd been killed accidentally by a car in the Southern City. Spike didn't like mentioning it, especially around Tuxedo who felt like he was replacing an irreplaceable pet. Though, in Spike's eyes, Tuxedo was much more laid back, and a lot easier to take care of.
"And, I'm not hateful, I just don't like you," Spike stood still as Milli took the ball from his hands and wiped the drool on his shirt. It didn't bother him at all, it was his own dog's drool, after all. Spike ignored Milli's next comments as they dripped sarcastically from her tongue. He'd come here for a day at the beach with his dog, to not be bothered by his family. Yet, here he was at the beach with Milli of all people. How it had happened, he had no idea, but he was grateful when she whistled her dogs over, hoping they would keep her company and he could make an escape.
Before he could turn around and make his silent leave with his dog, Milli's voice got to him again. i remember leaving the house and there was a pile of work on your desk." Spike laughed, "I finished it. You did leave before me, remember?" it hadn't taken him too long, either, most of the papers required only his signature and any additional comments in which none were added. Though the boy did shudder at the realization that there would probably plenty more paperwork when he got home. He could always save that for tomorrow, however, he was on a short hiatus now.
"i'm guess the first son is escaping from his duties once again."
Well, that wasn't exactly a lie. He had been dodging his parents lately. Ever since he had become 'of age' his father had been training him more and more in the trade. The business of being the head of the Alexii family seemed to be a huge responsibility that Spike - though completely capable - wasn't exactly ready to take. Sure, he fit the credentials, his IQ was higher than his fathers as well, but he didn't want to be an adult. He wanted to be his usual maverick self. And that didn't involve sitting in a stuffy room signing papers.
"You try doing my job for a week, see how you like it, Millicent!" he snapped, wondering if she really thought his job was as easy as it looked. He didn't even get payed.
"so, future head should i start dusting off the royal throne for you or am i planning a funeral?" Spike had been tuning out to Milli's voice, but snapped back quickly at her last words.
"Funeral? Who died?"
