Isadora was bored. Everything around here had been so tedious lately, it was a wonder she hadn’t died from lack of excitement. Normally, Isa was good at providing her own entertainment, but she couldn’t keep it up all the time. Nothing new had come her way recently, and the days had just begun to merge in to long and dreary moments. Pale smoky eyes looked around at their surroundings as their owner gave a sigh. No, nothing fun was around here either. She would just have to keep searching. Maybe there would be something in the village to do? It was worth a shot; at any rate, she wasn’t doing anything else.
The grey-haired girl began walking aimlessly through the streets, pausing every now and then to survey something with big eyes. Nothing here, and nothing there. Sometimes, it felt like this place was the very heart of monotony, making Izzy wonder whether she should leave and move to a different place. Of course, these temporary fits of insanity were always quickly dismissed. It was ludicrous to think that any other village could possibly be better than this one, and in any case, the idea of leaving was unthinkable. She’d much rather stay with her family, even though some of them were a bit……strange and she wasn’t that well acquainted with most of them. Her favourite relative, by far, was Zeph, though she’d never admit it to his face. He’d be able to make things fun, but unfortunately, he was somewhere else, and as usual, no one knew exactly where he was.
Suddenly, a flash of black darted across the street, disappearing as soon as it had come. Izzy blinked. Had that been……a cat? Yes, yes it was. Cats weren’t that unusual here, but this certain cat had looked a lot like Zeph’s. Shrugging, Izzy started walking in the direction the cat had taken, smiling sleepily at a cute boy as she passed him. In due course, she was rewarded by seeing a white haired male. Her normal semi-drowsy expression brightened. Could it be-? Yes, of course it was. A slow smile lit up her face as she hurried to catch up.
Izzy was seized by a sudden urge to jump on him as a way of greeting, just as she had when they were children. Gods, she had been a menace. Throttling the impulse, she instead quickened her pace and opened her mouth. ”Well, well, well. Zeph. Where have you been off to all this time? I’ve been so lonely, I had to resort to other friends while you were gone,” Perhaps ‘friends’ was a bit of a strong term to use to describe the people she had toyed with, but no matter. It sounded better than acquaintances. Words: 460 Notes: Argh, sorry this took so long. Turns out there was NO internet. Go figure.[/size].

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure †Zephyr didn't take too many steps until he heard a very familiar voice. Instantly he turned around to see hair that was similar to his own only a tad darker.
”Well, well, well. Zeph. Where have you been off to all this time? I’ve been so lonely, I had to resort to other friends while you were gone,”
Other friends? By that she did mean toy didn't she? If not then it looks like he might get some new toys to play with. Well it didn't seem like anyone was around her so it didn't mean anything important. His smile still in place he laughed. "Why little old me? Well I've been here and there but nothing is better than home sweet home. Especially when I get to see you again Dora." He replied emphasizing on the little nickname for her. He knew she hated it, it was obvious since no one got away with calling her that. At least no one but him anyway. After all she would not dare lay a finger on the first son now would she? She might had been sadistic and even playing pranks on him when he was still so naive but now, he sure that she knew better.
Slowly he reached his arms to cup her face gently. "So tell me? Did you have fun playing with your little toys? he asked. If she was in the village it was obvious that she was bored with them. Of course she would be. It wasn't like she had any other accomplice to play with. Toys can only entertain you for so long, you would always need a playmate right? That was how it was for him. That was why he made sure to have other people to play with or if not then to gather new toys hence his usual departures. Well that wasn't the only reason. He also did it to avoid Dani as much as possible. Of course that didn't mean that he didn't leave when he was bored as well though. He can only stand ruts for so long.
Although something did bother him. How did she ran into him? Was it sheer coincidence or did she knew him that well? Given the time they spent together he can never be sure. Since at times he would come and leave on mere whims so he never exactly had that much of a schedule. He'll just put it down as luck for now since he was uncertain. Then again he was curious right now as usual. Curiosity is one of his many sources for entertainment. "So how did you know I was back? Did you plant a gps on me or did you just have 'Zeph senses'?" he asked his head slightly tilted a bit.

Izzy folded her arms across her chest and smiled a small smirk that quickly disappeared as soon as he said the dreaded 'D' word. Dora. What a hideous abreviation of her full name. Izzy was fine, as was Isa, but Dora......was out of line. She was not a Dora. Was that not evident? But of course, Zeph insisted on calling her that, because he knew it would get a rise out of her. Anyone else who called her that met with a quick demise, but she couldn't exactly do that to him, now could she? Too many uncomfortable questions, for one. Still, sometimes she couldn't help but yearn that he was someone whom she could batter around without a second thought. Stupid family.
Shaking her head, Izzy gave him a dark look. "I swear Zeph, if you were anyone else, you would be long dead in a place where no one would find your body." She rolled her eyes before smiling again. He was so annoying at times, but Isa would just have to put up with it. No one else was near as much fun. When he raised his hand and cupped her face, she stared right at him, normally sleepy eyes wide open for a change. In truth, her playmates had not been that fun. There had been that one boy, but she had tired of him quickly. It seemed like hardly anything could keep Izzy entertained for more than a day. "Truthfully? They were extremely tedious." she answered at last. He would understand. He got tired with people quickly too.
"How did I find you? Well...." Isa trailed off, leaving her response a mystery as she toyed with answers she could give him. Should she tell the truth? No, that was no fun. At least with lies, you got to be creative. The truth was seldom interesting. Plus, it wasn't in her nature to tell facts. She was much better suited to making up fancy answers and confusing people. That didn't often work on Zeph, though, so at last she settled on, "My Zeph senses were tingling," with a smile. He didn't need to know that she had just stumbled across him.
Izzy skipped back to get a better look at him and tilted her head, a strand of long grey hair falling over her face. "So, oh noble first son," she said, sarcasm dripping from her words. "What did you accomplish on your wondrous travels this time? Go on, tell your ol' Izzy," She rarely got out of this place, so it was understandable for her to want to know more about the outside world. One day, Isa reflected off-handedly, she really would have to go on a really long trip. But for now, Zeph's stories would just have to do. Though he should probably put away his bags first. Isa gave a contemplating look at his (small) luggage bag, before turning away with a nonchalant shrug. Eh. Whatever.

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure † Ah now there was the anger he loved so much. The danger of possibly getting hit. No, he wasn't a masochist or at least he was sure he wasn't anyway. He simply loved the danger, it made less of a boring life for him. He really did love calling her that simply because he knew she hated the children show he referenced at her cute little nickname. "I swear Zeph, if you were anyone else, you would be long dead in a place where no one would find your body." Now that sounded almost like a threat. Then again she pretty much had the same thought as him. He was lucky that he was the first son. Seems like that position came with a lot more privilege than most had thought. Well it was either that or he knew how to use it well anyway.
The male noted the fact that she rolled her eyes like he was a small child. Well mentality wise that was probably true since Zephyr would practically never act his age. At least that was unless he was torturing someone. Then he would drop the childish act and usually act more like an adult. After all kids weren't usually that good with sadism.
His body shivered with nonexistent fear as his smile was still in place. "Then I must be lucky that I'm Zephyr Wilson then." he remarked rather happily. Yeah he liked being the first son alright. He always love the position of power although he didn't like the work that came with it. Good thing he wasn't the head alright or else the Wilson house might be worse off than the Ramsey. He chuckled at the thought. Eli was probably running away from paperwork now. Although if it had been Zephyr he wouldn't need to run away from paperwork. No, he would make sure that people were too scared to come up to him with any stack of papers in the first place. Too bad the blue haired head was not what one would consider...smart.
"Truthfully? They were extremely tedious." Was her answer. Oh poor poor Isadora. She was just so bored without her cousin. Well he couldn't say that he had expected something else though. Not everyone could put up with Isadora. The only reason why Zephyr could was because they were scarily similar to each other and there was the fact that he was used to the way she was ever since he was a child. He chuckled letting go of her face. "Poor Dora, nothing without her Boots. he stated but then stopped for a moment. The smile still there but his eyes softened their edges a bit. "Actually I wouldn't make a good Boots. I think I'm more of Swiper." He stated nodding to no one in particular.
At his next question, the female's answer didn't came as quickly. "How did I find you? Well...." Now it was obvious, she was coming up with a lie. Of course to lie to Zephyr...that was truly hard. Just like how he doubt she could ever truly lie to him, he knew he would never be able to sell a lie to her. They simply knew each other's tendencies far too well. The curse of being childhood friends he supposed but oh well. There were other people that he could always sell lies to anyway. So what he was waiting for though was to see what she would say. "My Zeph senses were tingling," Zeph senses. "Wow now I feel stalked." he replied again faking fear.
The male watched his cousin come up to him skipping. Really if one was to look at her they would never know how evil she truly was. "So, oh noble first son," Oh yes sarcasm was very evident. Yet it didn't affect him. He was used to it and besides, it was fun to play along with it. "What did you accomplish on your wondrous travels this time? Go on, tell your ol' Izzy," Now that was something he truly liked. The fact that she used the word 'your'. He was very possessive and he was sure that she knew that well. That was how she knew how to annoy him. When she started to play with other people. Hmph, as if there was anyone who could entertain her as much as he can.
"Sure I'll tell you on the way but first." he placed his hand in the bag to take out a couple of cds he found. A lot of people said it was good and it was from the outside world as well. "A present for my favorite cousin." he stated. In truth he wasn't sure if he had a favorite cousin. Favorite toys, food, color and items he does but when it came to people he didn't dare have someone he likes the most.

Why? Why did Zeph have to be the first son? This was one of those times that she was wishing that he wasn't, if only so she could punt him somewhere far away. He was one of the few people who could get away with things like that, in regards to herself. Even now, she was itching to cut off his air supply, if only for a few short moments. But of course, Izzy couldn't. So she just had to content herself with a non-to-gentle slap on his shoulder. Most people who saw them thought that they were friends, but Izzy's and Zeph's relationship wasn't that amicable. They were more like......torture buddies. People who were drawn to each other because of similar personalities. Plus, he was one of the few people who could entertain her for more than a few short days. There was that.
"Well," Isadora drawled out. "I wouldn't say 'lucky' exactly. Besides, we both know it'll only be temporary." she gave him her trademark knowing look. "One day, you'll be stuck as the head of the house, with responsabilities and expectations. I'd say that I'm the lucky one. See, people will expect you to do great things and solve their problems. All they expect me to do is get married!" Oh, how true were her words. It was true; she was fortunate, she could see that now. At least she wouldn't be stuck behind a desk one day. She would have freedom while Zeph......would be stuck. The idea of him being tied down was enough to make her giggle a bit. Poor man.
Of course, her amusement quickly disappeared as soon as he mentioned the dreaded D word again. She closed her eyes, as if searching for the strength to deal with him in a non-violent manner, before opened them again and raising her eyebrow. "Doesn't Swiper always get his ass kicked by Dora?" Izzy asked, letting her thoughts finish the rest of the sentence. 'That's what's going to happen to you one day, Zeph dear, if you keep it up with that nickname.' Though her cousin could make her smile, he was also one of the only people who could infuriate Isa to no end. There were downs to every up, she supposed.
She emitted yet another laugh when he confessed to feeling stalked. "Oh, Zeph, don't flatter yourself," Isadora said, shaking her head mockingly. Even when Izzy had been young and so small that she could scarcely reach the top of a table, she had never been a follower. She had simply waited for things to be brought to her, and like magic, they had been. She had no need to chase after others, though there had been a few times when she had run after Zeph to jump on his back for some piggy-back rides. Those had been the days, though Isa supposed she had been something of a little terror. At least she had been a cute terror.
Her grey eyes widened in an exaggerated childish way as he announced that he had brought presents, showing off how huge they actually were when she wasn't keeping them half-lidded. "A prezzie? For me?" Izzy reached out her slender thin hands and took the cds from him. "Aw, you shouldn't have." of course, what she meant by that was, "Yes, you should have, and you did. Good job and thank you." You had to watch out for Isa's little mannerisms. She started walking ahead, before looking back. "Well? You coming? And by the way, is some important person going to throw a fit that you left? Should I be warned?" you could never tell with Zeph. He came and he went as he pleased. For all she knew, he could have slipped out in the dead of night and not informed anybody.

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure †Oh it seems like was winning. That was good, the male loved to win but then again who didn't? Isn't it in human nature to compete and try to be the best? "One day, you'll be stuck as the head of the house, with responsabilities and expectations. I'd say that I'm the lucky one. See, people will expect you to do great things and solve their problems. All they expect me to do is get married!" Ouch. She knew just where to get him even giggling about it. His eyes that were squinted winced a bit. His brow knitting together at the thought of the paperwork. If he had his way he would make sure that Dani would be head till the day he dies. After all they were the same age but he knew chances are that was not going to happen. Most of the Wilson wasn't fond of the girl besides the fact that she did her work and rather well. Still they couldn't take her naivety and he couldn't blame them. He could barely handle it himself at times.
"Well I guess that just means that I need to make every moment of freedom count." he replied. Which pretty much meant that he was going to anger Isadora every day until his faithful day came. Besides, he already had plans on what he would do. The day he becomes head he was going to run away and give up all his power. No matter how much he dearly loved power he hated responsibility even more. Maybe he would go to the outside world and never use his powers again. Live a normal life somewhere with a new name. He didn't care where as long as he was free. He didn't care how much power would be taken from him either. As long as there was no responsibility or expectations. Besides, without power he had more freedom to do whatever it is that he wants. Although he would never dare tell anyone about his little plan. Not even his wonderful cousin Isadora. Oh no, he was far too skeptical for that.
His attention quickly turned back to her though as she closed her eyes. The first son watched her, that was a sign that she was restraining herself from outright killing him. Despite the danger though his grin was still there as if he was mocking her. Well in a way it was but Zephyr's grin mocked the whole world pretty much as if it was some kind of joke. "Doesn't Swiper always get his ass kicked by Dora?" He cupped his own chin looking rather thoughtful. "Really? I don't know I never watched the show but it seems like you do Dora. Well I guess I can see why, you must find a lot of similarity with the character."" he stated. It was true, as a young kid he never watched the show. Not because he thought it was stupid but because he had a lot of studies to do and expectations to meet up. Yeah, he actually cared to meet them back then, go figure. He rarely ever watched t.v. and he was pretty much ignorant to most of the world believing it to be like a fairy tale land. Do good things, good things happen, live happily ever after. Oh how wrong he was.
Again she laughed. Well look at that, he was sure they haven't spent ten minutes together and she was already joyous of his little antics. "Oh, Zeph, don't flatter yourself," He chuckled. He knew that she would never stalk him. If she did, she probably wouldn't be bored and find other people to play around with. Perhaps Ellie? He is fun to mess with and they do have similar personalities after all.
At how childish she became her her eyes lit up like the stars in the night sky, he chuckled. Zephyr couldn't help himself, she was so much like a child. He got her message pretty well too. You didn't even have to be a psychologist to know, just spend a few days with her and it'll be easy to catch on...if she considers you a friend anyway. Friendship by her standards was always strange but then again who was he to say that?
"Well? You coming? And by the way, is some important person going to throw a fit that you left? Should I be warned?" Huh? Oh, he nodded and started to walk over to her rather eagerly. Just like how he entertained her, she always found ways to entertain him. "Oh? I don't know, I think people would be use to me leaving." came his answer if one can consider it one. In truth though since Dani wasn't home he could only think of one person but part of him was sure that she didn't care too much. There was also a certain servant but she didn't matter much at all.
As they walked down though he found himself not wanting to go home just yet. He didn't know why. It was a simple whim and as always the male acted on it. The moment he spotted a tea shop he stopped. "I'm a bit thirsty." he stated rather slowly. Honestly he wasn't thirsty though and he didn't really like tea. Most of them were too bitter for his taste, he was a sweet person after all but he remember that Isadora liked tea. Besides, he'll just down his in sugar as usual.

Ah, freedom. What about it was so enticing, made it so hard to resist? Probably the alternative, responsabilities. Ugh. Izzy would be quite happy to live a responsibility-free life, and to just do as she pleased. She just supposed she was lucky to have been born as she was. Unfortunately for Zeph, he had been born in a trap, and would one day be caught in it. Pitiless as ever, Isa gave a litte snicker. She couldn't help it; right now, he was free to come and go as he pleased, but when the time came, well, he would be stuck behind a desk handing out orders. He'd probably go insane. Mad with either boredom or power, whichever got him first. It would be a race to the finish line Isadora would be watching eagerly. After all, the line between reality and insanity was very thin. But despite her fantasizing, she knew it wouldn't happen. Zeph might be a bit.....all right, crazy, but he was stable enough. She couldn't picture him falling. And as long as he didn't try to give her orders, she'd wait around with him. After all, no one was near as much fun.
Even though he was fun, why did he have to keep bringing up the subject of Dora? It was at moments like these that she wondered why she didn't just do away with him once and for all, but no, that would be too easy an escape for him. She'd just have to find another way to get back at him, and lucky for Izzy, she knew just how. They had known each other since childhood, when they were all young and Zeph was naive. Naturally, she knew a few ways to get under his skin, a couple of his flaws that made it possible to get him back. Isa would probably go with her most regular one; playing and showing attachement to another person. If Zeph had a fault, it was that he was horribly possesive. Whenever Isa got pisses at him, that was how she payed him back. It was his fault for starting it! But at least now he could look forwards to seeing her with other people.
Having that soothing thought in mind, Izzy only gave an irritated sigh. "Oh, go die in a hole, Zeph," A very big hole, and very deep. One where he could fall forever and never get back out. But no, that wouldn't do. She'd probably get so cursed bored to tears that she'd throw herself in after him, but he didn't have to know that. The day she gave him a hold like that over her would be the day that.....well, the day that she would throw herself in to a hole. But no matter.
"Yes, you do tend to leave a lot," Isadora mused, still clutching her brand new cds as they walked. Zephyr did tend to suffer from what she viewed as wanderlust. He was just fortunate that the head didn't care, but even if she had, Isa had a feeling- no, she knew- that Zeph wouldn't listen anyways. He did what he wanted to, screw everyone else. That was a good quality to have. Isadora hoped that she would never meet someone who would try to interfere with it, for their sake. When her cousin mentioned he was thirsty, Isa paused in the street and looked around quizically for a place where they could stop and get something. Instantly, her eagle eye zoned in on to the tea shop. Well, that finalized things. Grabbing the male's arm, she began to attempt to drag him towards the shop. "We're going to have tea!" she announced brightly. "Since you were so foolish as to stop outside a particularly lovely one," her cheerful tone contradicted the look she gave him, which was one of murderous warning, sending out a clear message that he was going to have tea and LIKE IT. Izzy crashed through the tea shop door, still somehow elegant, and breathed in the comforting smell. Oh, tea. Where would she be without it?

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure †Her reply to his ignorance though was not the usual playful banter. "Oh, go die in a hole, Zeph," That was when he knew when to stop. Isadora was human, of course she had her limits. She wasn't like a toy that you could play with or ruin. Like the servants who are too scared to do anything back or the actual toys kid carry that won't scream or fight back no matter how the owner treat them. No, she was perfectly human and therefore she had her limits. So he didn't say anything back at all. Part of him did wonder how he would die in a hole though. Yes, he new it was a figure of speech but still the idea was amusing simply because it was improbable. Actually it might as well be impossible all for one reason. He was Aerokinetic. In other words if he was to fall in a hole he could always easily get out without even falling to the end of it even if he was to be shoved. The only way he could die in a hole was if he was on the verge of death and someone pushed him in.
At his reply to her answer though he could have sworn he heard a small amount of either bitterness or sadness. "Yes, you do tend to leave a lot," No it couldn't be though. The two weren't friends no matter how they acted. Even if whenever he came home, he would seek her out that day or by latest the next. At times he would even go to her room and wait till she come back to surprise her like a little kid. Yet they weren't friends. Despite the fact that he knew so much about her. Actually if he had a say in it, he would probably be the person that knew her the most besides...well her of course. What kind of person doesn't know about themselves the most? Yet never once had he ever called her friend ever since that certain incident. No, he didn't dare to, she was simply a cousin who had things in common with him. There was no need to overcomplicate such a simple thing. There was no need to transform it into a stronger bond that would tie them closer together. No, he would rather avoid that. She already knew too much about him for his liking as it is. Yes call him paranoid if you want to, he was after all.
The words came out of him though a bit too soon. "I'm sorry Isadora." he replied his voice a bit gentle. Despite the fact that his grin was still there, he regretted letting the words slip. It was not what Zephyr the sly fox, the Cheshire Cat, the king of freaks and who knows what other nickname he had. No it was the Zephyr that was a small child always apologizing every single little mistake he had done. The foolish naive little boy he couldn't get rid of. The one who was even too shy to call her by any nickname. Quickly though he had fixed himself. "How horrible of me to let my dear cousin be plagued with boredom. How about I make it up to you? I'll spend a whole day with you." he quickly offered namely because it was the first thing that came into his mind.
He foot stopped and he pretended to be thirsty. He ignored the slight quizzical look as it quickly vanished the moment she spotted the tea shop. He felt her warm hand around her arm. How does a cold witch have warm hands? He followed her as she guided him a bit forcefully. "We're going to have tea!" Her voice chimed with such innocence. Yet the look on her face. It was most like a snake really. He didn't have a choice which he didn't mind. He was used to it and besides, he was sure there would be sugar. If there wasn't he always kept some up his sleeves. "Since you were so foolish as to stop outside a particularly lovely one," Wait foolish? Wasn't that a bit harsh? Well, he supposed it might had been because he didn't know much about his village. Yes, Zephyr Wilson, the first son of the Wilson family didn't know much about his own village. He barely knew any of the stores in it. If someone asked him how to navigate he would simply point them to some random shop he might have happened to pass by. He simply never stayed in his village long. Yet if someone was to ask him about a shop in any other location he could easily point it out. So in the end he had stopped at the tea shop.
Once inside they quickly got a table. He sat down and looked at the menu. He really wasn't sure what he wanted. He was never into tea. "I guess I'll have whatever you are having Dora. I'm putting my trust in you~" he stated in a rather sing-song voice as if it was some game. Well to the male Wilson, life was a game. A very fun game and a game that he will end up being the victor no matter what.

Izzy could scarcely believe her ears. Was there......a note of apology in his voice? No, of course not. She must have mishear. Zeph hardly ever apologized to anyone sincerely, and certainly never felt remorse for his actions. He wouldn't waste something as precious as regret on her. Isa would have to get her hearing checked, there had to be something wrong with it if she was hearing ridiculous things like that. When he had been younger, things had been different, of course. Then, an apology wouldn't have been that out of character. He had been so naive, so adorable when he had been little. Izzy, of course, had been littler, being about two years younger than her cousin, and certainly cuter, but still had the same personality. Her favorite activity had been teasing and jumping on Zeph, for goodness' sake! Zeph, however, had matured in to his nature. He certainly had changed from that tiny innocent boy.
The grey-haired girl quickly stopped thinking about her cousin's childhood as soon as he mentioned that he would spend the whole day with her. Really? An entire twenty-four hours, just for her? How honored she was. Nonetheless, her half-lid sleepy eyes opened up wide and her eyes sparkled, as they always did when she was particularly pleased and happy. At last, a way to get away from the generally omnipresent tedium! Zephyr would keep things fun. She could only think of one other person whom she could play with and not get bored, but he was not her cousin. As happy as she was, Izzy remembered that she still had to punish him for calling her the 'D' name. How she would do that would be a surprise though, even to her. She'd take her chance if it came along. With the thought of revenge and a day with her cousin on her mind, she put a joyful little skip in her step in anticipation. He'd never know what hit him.
Inside the tea shop, Zeph sat down first and immediately opened the menu. Izzy, however, slowly sat down in her seat, and gracefully plucked the menu from his hands in one fluid motion. The look she gave him, however, was far from relaxed. In fact, it was an evil grin, one that narrowed her eyes and made her look like a crazed predator about to strike. All that was missing was the blood dripping down her face. "Putting your trust, in me?" she smirked. Oh, Zephy, you shouldn't have. You really shouldn't have." with those slightly ominous words hanging in the air, she returned to scanning the menu. The girl was rather in the mood for herbal tea today, having had the regular kind only earlier. Lemon Zinger? No, today wasn't a lemon day. Chamomile? Hell no, she hated chamomile, ever since that one summer where she had drunk too much of it and had the taste stuck in her mouth for days. Rasberry sounded good though. It tasted good and Isa loved the color. A deep coppery red. So tasteful.
Closing the menu, a waiter appeared as if by magic by their table. Izzy propped her face against a cool hand and smiled up at him, discreetly checking him up and down. Bright hair- oh, she did love bright hair, owners of hair like that tended to give things a flare- tall, and definitely handsome. Maybe she could use him to get revenge on Zeph. As she knew, he was horribly possesive. If there was something that could anger him, it would be playing with this new boy. Giving him her best sleepy smile, she pointed at her choice. "Two please," she said softly, not wanting to disturb the peace of the teahouse. The boy smirked back, and then took their menu and walked back to the kitchen, though not before giving a wink to Izzy. She giggled. Oh, he really was cute! It was a shame that she knew that she would tire of him soon, but for now, he fit her purpose. Turning back to Zeph, wearing a little vengeful smirk, she spoke up. "Don't worry Zephy, your trust is completely valid. You can believe me."
Words: 697 Notes: Fluff is so much fun to roll around in....and er, read of course. I love how they're both in denial about their relationship, it's so cute >.<

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure †If Isadora had noticed the strangeness in his voice she certainly did show it. Something he was rather thankful for actually. After all it was obvious to those who had known him for years. He really rather avoid any topic that had to do with him. Even the simplest stuff such as his favorite color to which he would always answer 'white'. Yet in truth white was the color he hated the most. It had once been his favorite color though but that was the past, something that is best to let go.
Once in the tea shop it didn't take her long to steal borrow his menu. Really if it was anyone else...well perhaps except for Eli, no one would actually dare grab anything out of his hand unless he allowed them to. Even then though he remember sometimes servants would have fear in their eyes reaching their hands to grab the object. That might had always been because he trips them to break the given object and happily blame it on how much of a klutz they were. Sometimes he would even blame the wind and they would never dare talk back. How unfortunate that his companion was not like that. Then again if she was, she wouldn't be interesting and would blend in the sea of the crowds that he had met and could barely remember.
The look in her eyes though was one that belonged to a horror movie. Maybe she could star in one as the villain. He could see her doing a great job, especially in ghost movies with the dresses she wore, plus there was also her hair. Yes, he can see it now. Another thing he also saw was if his plan didn't work for escaping the doom future he had, she would drag him to the movie premiere whether or not he had work. Of course he wouldn't mind that. Actually he would prefer it that way. A part of him would be sad if he was to leave now that he thought about it. He wouldn't have Eli to bother or Isadora to play with. Then again he was Zephyr, he would always find someone new anyway wont' he? So he could easily leave them maybe he would have a few minuscule seconds of regret but they would quickly fade away. He never like doing things like regrets, it simply wasn't worth the time, better to just move on.
As he spoke of trust though it was obvious that he didn't trust her. He hasn't even written his will yet let alone trust her. Maybe he'll start trusting her once he becomes head. By then he might as well be dead. Hm...for a moment he wondered if he was to become head and can't run if he could suicide by paperwork. That would be a strange death but hey, he was a strange man. Oh, Zephy, you shouldn't have. You really shouldn't have." Her voice brought him back from the day dream of his own death...or was is salvation? Whichever one. He didn't say anything allowing the words to hung in the air. To be honest, he was looking forward to see what she had in mind. No, it wasn't because he's a masochist, he was curious.
The male waited and took a scan at their surrounding out of boredom. His eyes spotted a male of course that wasn't what bothered him. Of course there would be men in this shop. It seems he was an employee though from the uniform he wore. Again didn't bother him. No, what did bother him though was the fact that he saw the person reflected in the male's eyes. It was Isadora and he can see it sparkle with interest. Now that just won't do. When she had closed the menu the waiter had came. He had obviously been waiting. How annoying.
Once he arrived his cousin pointed out what she wanted and he nodded walking away but not before making a crucial mistake. Winking at her. There was also that stupid smirk. Zephyr's smile widened. Strange as it may be, whenever his smile widened it always meant that he was angry. He rested his head on the palm of his hand. Someone was not going to even work in this village anymore. What really infuriated him though was the fact that Isadora had giggled. She could not have been interested in this guy could she? He was so annoying and there wasn't anything she knew about him. It was obvious but most of all was the fact that he had offered to spend a whole day with her. Just what the h*** was she thinking? At that moment he really wanted to kill the guy somehow. Any method would do. No, wait it had to be something painful and torturous but not brutal. No, he will make the waiter regret what he had done and beg for death but never will he obtain it. He just needed to think of how first.
"Don't worry Zephy, your trust is completely valid. You can believe me." The way she said that. It only made his smile hardened the mask being tighter now. "Why of course. You are my favorite cousin Dora." he stated his voice still smooth but there was a small underlying annoyance. Just what was she thinking? For a moment though he ran through ideas in his head. At that moment the idea of being around Isadora for a whole day didn't please him if she was going to be with the waiter who's name he was sure she didn't even know.
The first son didn't like her taking interest in anyone but him unless he allowed it. He had allowed Eli to come even at times bringing him back home for her to see him just for fun. Why? It was because he knew that Eli would never truly interest her as he did. He knew Eli's personality far too well after all but this waiter and for that matter any stranger. He didn't know them. What if they were more sadistic...more interesting than him? No that just won't do. She was his playmate and his alone. No one was to allowed to be near her. Yet she kept on getting interested and he would find himself getting angry. "So what tea did you order? he asked trying his best to change the subject.

Hmm......was it just her, or was the atmosphere suddenly chillier? Isa gave a little shrug. Eh, probably just her imagination. She did have a vivid one, if she did say so herself. She pretty much had too, what with all the schemes she cooked up and ideas that she employed on people. In the grey-haired girl's experience, people with no imagination had a very small sense of fun. And having fun, was, after all, the point of life. Well, to be more accurate, Isadora thought that the point of life was to enjoy oneself. And if she enjoyed toying with peoples heads, then so be it; that was her purpose. And it was a helluva fun one.
Flipping a stray strand of smokey hair over her shoulder, she gave a quick glance at her cousin, whose smile was now a positively gigantic grin. Oh dear, he was pissed. Izzy knew him well enough by now to understand his little personality quirks, and when his smile reached Cheshire-Cat proportions, he was either really enjoying himself or a bit ticked off. In this scenario, Izzy was led to believe that it was the latter. Good, so her plan had worked. She gave him her sleepy gentle smile in return, a clueless look that gave nothing away about her own musings. One day, she swore, Zeph's possesiveness would be his downfall. Was he ever like this to Alice? If he was, then Izzy's respect for her other cousin had just grown to be quite substantial. Imagine, putting up with that since Day 0. Of course, Zephyr hadn't been quite so bad in the old days but still.Back then, it had just been Izzy doing the tormenting, with no one accompanying her on her teasing trips. Now, things were different of course.
Still, that waiter had been cute, there was no denying it. Most likely boring, but.....cute. That could protect him from her tauntings for maybe a .......day? Yes, a day. Then she would be able to toss him aside like a used ragdoll and never give him a thought again. On an impulse, she reached across the table and clasped Zephyr's hands with her own. "Oh, Zephy, don't be mad," Izzy declared, half-mocking, half pleading. "He's not that important, he's just got such nice hair. I could braid it....." the girl's expression turned dreamy as she stared in to space, her head full of happy pictures. Of her, finally gaining the waiter's trust. Of him, running around the village, his hair filled with pretty braids of all sizes, screeching like an owl. She gave a little giggle. Oh yes, that would be amusing, if childish.
Of course, though, he had to ruin her reverie by mentioning the dreaded 'D' name. Izzy just shook her head, before returning her gaze to her cousin, with a sad expression on her face. "Oh Zephie," she murmured with a small confused frown. "Haven't I reminded you before that I despise that name?" She put an uncharacteristic amount of venom in to the word despise, spitting it out as if it were something disgusting that had no place in her mouth. Oh, what was the point? He would never learn. But she would still persevere, still have to carry on nonetheless. Stupid Zephyr."Oh, the tea I ordered? Rasberry. I think you might like it. Mmmmmmaybe. Oh, and here comes the waiter now!" she, being Izzy, couldn't resist giving a little wave to the bright-haired man as he approached with their drinks, if only to infuriate Zeph a bit further before she stopped, just to show that she couldn't be toyed with.

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure † Zephyr saw her stare at him. Instantly he knew that she saw through his smile. She rested her hands on his as if she wanted to comfort him. Right the day that happens is the day Alice forgives Ari or the day Eli has a crush on the Wilson's first son. In other words never. Even then though that still might not happen. There is reason why he never came to her for comfort. Not that he ever needed comfort though since he has a pretty good life. A limited but good life so far. Of course he knew that soon it can only get worse but even then there was no way he would come to her for comfort. It's worse than making a deal with the devil. "Oh, Zephy, don't be mad," She chided him so ever sweetly as if they were dating. In the back of his mind he can see Eli shuddering for some reason. The image pleased him a bit though and his smile became just a bit gentler.
"He's not that important, he's just got such nice hair. I could braid it....." The one thing he could never comprehend. Isadora's love to braid people's hair. Something that even made the male glad he didn't have long hair. He couldn't imagine his braided nor did he want to for that matter. Why does she like to do that so much? Is it a girl thing? Even more was that she seems to only like to braid the males' hair. Never the females at all. Whatever he supposed, there were some things in this world better left not known. One of them being the fact that how he and Isadora were only related as cousins and not siblings.
Still it wasn't exactly enough to completely calm him down. Oh no he was still mad alright. That was why it was still wider than usual. He really didn't like that waiter for even looking at Isadora. No, he didn't see her as anything more than a cousin. He hardly sees her as a cousin in the first place. She was more like a mirror...and female. The only difference though is that unlike most mirrors they don't haunt him. She was also his playmate. Someone to entertain him when he was bored at home. She was also to be Alice's guardian once he gets that tower finished. It was still in the planning stages. So no one was allowed to take her away from him. Oh no, they would have to pry it out of his cold dead hands. He never liked to share much anyway. Back then yes but now, no. Sharing was a mutual agreement that neither could win. He rather take something and keep it forever than to actually share.
"Haven't I reminded you before that I despise that name?" The silver hair male titled his head in slight 'confusion'. "You did? Sorry I don't remember. You know how terrible I am at remember things.". What a lie. He had near photographic memories which is quite strange seeing that Zephyr was someone who rather let go of memories and forget everything. Yet at the same time he has near photographic memories and actually keeps rather a lot of photos to remind himself of the small moments he liked. A hypocrite? Yes but this was Zephyr Wilson so perhaps that is to be expected.
Yes he knew how much she hated the nickname. It was for that same reason he even uses it in the first place. If it didn't bother her or if she had hid it better he would had dropped it but he supposed there were somethings that was hard to find. He knew that all too well since he knew Isadora was using how possessive he was to get him. Oh he knew that well but he still couldn't help it.
"Oh, the tea I ordered? Rasberry. I think you might like it. Mmmmmmaybe. Oh, and here comes the waiter now!" Raspberry huh? Eh he was okay with it he supposed. Could had been worse. He turned his head to see the waiter was back. Hip hip hooray. Not! Still he gave a smile and took the drink soon drowning it in sugar and started to mix it. "Thank you for your service." he spoke before wrapping an arm around his cousin. "But you really shouldn't try so hard." he chimed acting as if the two was dating as a message to back off.

The girl shook her head in mock pity for her cousin. She knew him too well. She knew when he was happy, when he was sad (though she couldn't remember the last time that had been; Zeph never got sad, just pissed) and when he was angry. She could tell that he was still a bit irritated, despite her reassurances. Silly. Like she could ever find anyone to replace him. The waiter paled in comparison, but still......Zeph would leave again, and she would need a playmate, and he might do. Maybe he'd give her his number, and she could call him up when she was bored. He would sit for days on end by the phone, waiting for the call that would take it's time in coming. That would be funny.
"Oh, Zeph, don't be ridiculous, you know my heart belongs to only you," Izzy continued, eyes wide and innocent. Even though Izzy would like to think of herself as the exact opposite of goodness, she was pretty damn good at making herself appear blameless. "Wait, no, not my heart. You can have my soul instead," If she had one. The reason Zeph couldn't have her figurative heart was because Izzy didn't view the heart as a symbol of affection. Clearly, it was an organ used for pumping blood through one's body. Who would want that, honestly? Not her, that's for sure. Souls were much cleaner. They weren't even corporeal!
Have her soul he might, but he most certainly could not keep calling her that ridiculous nickname. If only he could stop bringing it up and let it rest in peace, preferably in a grave dug VEEEEERRRRYYYY deep in to the ground, but of course he wouldn't. It was one of the few things that annoyed her, and she had been stupid enough to show it. Izzy still hadn't stopped banging her head agains the wall for that one. But whatever. Whatever. In a last desperate attempt, Izzy tried to convince herself that she didn't care, and failed again. It was such a stupid nickname!!!! Maybe she wouldn't have hated it that much if it hadn't been for that idiotic tv show, but the damage had been done, and now there was no way to repair it.
But now the tea was here, and she could stop worrying about such mundane things as moronic nicknames. The grey-haired girls shoulders relaxed as the steaming cup of dark crimson tea was set in front of her, taking in a deep breath of the soothing aroma. Aah, now this was heaven. This shop made good tea, no mistake. She'd have to come back later. Like Zeph, she scooped up some sugar and plopped it in her cup, before picking up her silver spoon and delicately stirring it. She didn't mind her tea without sugar, but since Zeph was taking some, he might as well, though he had put so much sugar in his that his teeth would probably fall out with the first sip.
Izzy had completely forgotten about everything other than the tea when Zeph's arm wrapped around her. Her cup had been raised to take a dainty sip, but she put it down and looked at him quizically. His rather sinister and somewhat creepy smile was being directed at the waiter. Oh, him. Izzy had completely forgotten about him. Good thing Zeph had reminded her. She raised a finger and poked Zeph's cheek while gazing at the waiter. "Come back later please," she said, again with her sweet smile, before waving him off with her other hand. He smirked, and then trotted away like a good puppy, but not before giving Zeph a confused glance. Hopefully, he wasn't straining his little brain to hard wondering about her cousin; he'd just get a headache. It was hard to fathom Zeph's motives, and most certainly a total stranger would not be able to.
