---------------------------------------------------- Today was one of his lucky days. At least in his opinion anyway. It was one of the days where he got to buy some supplies for the pets of the Ramsey house. Okay so that didn't exactly sound like fun but for Albel it truly was since he loved the pet store. Now he had a good excuse to go and see some pets. To him that meant that he was truly lucky. It's not every day he gets to take care of animals. Despite being a servant, he rarely got to take care of them, instead he was usually stuck with cleaning the dishes or making lunch, most of the time for Time since she was one of the youngest in the family.
He walked in to hear a small chime. Inside as expected were a variety of animals all barking, meowing or chirping at the customer. He smile happy to see them giving each a wave before going to get the food. He really wanted to play with them so bad but he had work to do. Well maybe if he stayed a little they wouldn't know? No, that wouldn't be the right thing to do at all. With that in mind he paid for the food before walking out. On his way back though he saw something from the corner of his eyes. It was a box with a dog in it. He stared at ti, ti seems to be a stray, poor thing. Instantly he wanted to take it home. He always loved pets and had always wanted one but the problem was that he didn't have the money for it. No matter how hard he worked. Yet it was staring at him with its hungry eyes even barking. That was just unfair.
It didn't seem like anyone really noticed it either was they just walked up and down the streets not even sparing it a glance. How heartless there was a stray and no one was doing anything about it. Then again neither was he so it wasn't like he had an excuse either. Still...as he stared at it he looked down at the bag of dog food. If he opens it now he was sure that once he come home people would notice. They would probably think he ate it hungry or something. He hasn't eaten in quite a while but lucky for him his stomach was bothering him too much about it.
Slowly he walked over to the creature putting his bag down and picking it up. He watched those brown beads stare back at him. He knew that he should just put it down, walk away and go back to the Ramsey. He had animals to take care of, animals he was paid to take care of. If he was to take care of this dog he would actually lose money. Yet he loved animals and he couldn't just leave it in the streets like the rest of the people. He still wondered how they did that or was it simply because they didn't notice it. He didn't when he first walked down busy with the pleasant ideas of playing with the animals. Now though...looks like that would have to be postponed. He placed the creature down and pet it before picking his bag up. Guess he'll spend some money on it...he just couldn't resist.
The male walked in and he saw some of the employees giving him a strange stare. It felt so weird. He never did like standing out. He prefer just to blend in the crowd, be an average person, get average grades, work in a job and just live in a life where he would never go down as anything. One of the reasons why he was glad he wasn't born a noble even if they were rich. He picked up another bag but this time it was the cheapest one along with a bowl before paying and walking out. Before the cashier could customarily make the statement he has beaten her to it. "Have a nice day. You should get some sleep you look tried today." The last part kind of just slipped out and his face instantly reddened from embarrassment. He instantly looked down only to hear a giggle. She was laughing at him wasn't she? Yet Albel looked up to see she was smiling and nodding as if to say thank you. He just nodded back giving her a small smile before walking away.
When the aquakinetic came back out he walked over to the dog and placed the bowl in the box filling it up. There you go." he stated with a small smile on his face petting it as it ate. He remembered when he was young. Most of his friends had pets since they could afford it and would always complain about taking care of it. He never knew why though. It looked so much fun and as a kid, he had even walked his friend's dogs and play with his friend's cats. Whenever they went on vacation he would take care of the animals for a small price. Even back then he knew that money was important. A lot of people said he was mature for that but he considered himself cheap.
When he took a job in the Ramsey and saw how many pets they had he thought it was going to be lots of fun. Especially since he had given up on his dream. Even if he lied to his mother stating that he had achieved it. To say that he felt horrible was an understatement. He felt so guilty, he never liked to lie. It was a bad thing after all but to lie to one's own family. His father probably lied whenever the man stated he loved his family. He didn't want to end up like that man ever. Of course the chances of him starting a family with a woman was slim seeing that there was no way he can support it with the finance he has at the moment. Not even close unless he married someone rich. Then again a rich person in their right mind wouldn't even spare him a second glance with how poor he was.
As he stared at the dog though he remembered his little sister and how she loved cute things like animals. Well it wasn't really a clear image though since he left when he was fourteen. So she was thirteen but he was rarely home in the first place. Most of the time he spent was outside working on whatever little jobs he can get his hands on. He could barely remembered what she looked like. What he did remember was that she had their mother's blue eyes unlike his which was his father's red ones. He hated it to be honest. If he could afford it he would buy contact lenses. Oh well. At least he still had a picture of when they were young for the whole family portrait. Of course that man was also in the picture. Albel had folded it in his room though so that his whole body was covered up. He never considered him to be in the family, not with how he had just left one day.

can you look me in the eyes and tell me, are you happy now? ♥
It was a casual thing, something she had most often been found doing on days like these.. Toshiko would press herself up against the glass of the pet store window and gaze adoringly at the puppies that pawed at her from the inside. Of course their paws never reached her, their touch being prevented by the glass, but the way they looked up at her with a look that said 'Take me home! Take me home!', it nearly tempted her to waste whatever she had left just to fulfill their everlasting wish. But her being with barely enough money to care for herself instantly kept her from making that slight mistake. There'd be no way of caring for the dog in the end, if she threw away money just like that. Of course, she could marry into money... Hahah.. She wouldn't want that type of life.. As convenient as it'd be to always have money to spare, she wouldn't want to be looked up at.. wouldn't want to feel that special. It was rediculous of her, to have such a problem with feeling 'special', whatever that meant to her. But she felt she wasn't fit for it. And besides, what were her chances of marrying into money anyway?
She sighed into the glass, a temporary fog revealing her breath until it vanished and she murmured softly, a thought to herself. "But ohh, how nice it would be to have someone to come home too~." As sad as those words could have been, her light smile seemed to show that she wasn't too bothered about it. Home was lonely for her, some could say, but she'd adjusted to it.. her mom no longer alive, her dad somewhere she wasn't aware of, and at the same time she didn't care where he was. He was a traitor. Her mom was gone. Life was... rough. But if never rough, I'd never learn how to be strong. Wasn't that her motto? Her main guideline to follow? Stay strong, don't rely on others... because when you trust, you relax, and the next thing you know, you're left in an empty house. Boy, was she stubborn..
Toshiko giggled, watching the puppies on display pounce on eachother and bark and squeal. Regardless that she had only moments ago been reminded of her small struggling, it was easy for her to brush it off, especially at the sight of the dogs. That'd always been her weakness.. cuteness. Whatever it was that had it, whether it would purr, bark, moo, or laugh, she'd always get an urge to leap at it. Even though she intended to act independant and somewhat tough, she'll always be the most gullible and protective when it came to something like an innocent puppy-dog face. Was that weird? Kinda. Unreasonable, too, since she had no story as to how this obsession started. But she didn't really need one, did she? Girls had their cellphones, boys had their videogames, she in particular had her random collection of cute things that remained scattered around the island for her to discover, and quite possibly shower with hugs and adoption requests.. She poked a finger at the glass, pointing to a pile of puppies that jumped all over eachother, playfully. "Ah ah ahh~, don't hurt eachother too bad.." she muttered quietly. People who passed by most likely would briefly stare, not to mention those who browsed from the inside... But she seemed completely oblivious.
Oblivious, that is, until the door opened once more, only for her to hear quite few footsteps that stopped not too much of a distance from the entrance of the shop. She turned her head for a moment and spotted a man knelt down beside a box. A box? She blinked and watched him for a moment. He had his hand reached into it, and his red eyes seemed to be focusing on something inside it. "...Eh?" she mumbled and turned to slowly walk towards hiim with a final glance at the puppies through the window. As she neared the stranger and the box, she eventually spotted what he'd been giving attention to. A little stray puppy that had been abandoned there.. and the man must have been one of the very few who spared it a small amount of their time. Her eyes immediately lit up and she quickened her pace towards them, lowering to her knees once she'd reached the side of the box.
She peered down at the puppy with shining eyes and she couldn't help but let escape a slight, "Awwhhh~!" She clamped her hands together and barely held herself back from taking the dog from the box without thought of the other man beside her. "You poor thing.. Who would leave such an adorable puppy out on the streets like this?" Toshiko glanced over at whoever sat facing the other side of the box. For a second, she got a feeling of him being a bit familiar. She hated that feeling.. mostly when she couldn't figure out how she knew them in the first place. However, she shook it off before speaking up again. "O-Or is this your dog?" She didn't show any guilty expression, supposing that if she said that and the one at fault was sitting right there, he might just realize how wrong he was. Instead she showed a bit of disappointment. If you're the one leaving this dog here, you should feel nothing but shame.., she thought to herself, while loking at the man expectantly.

---------------------------------------------------- As Albel pet the puppy gently smiling down at it giving it whatever little comfort he could at the same time he had seek comfort from the creature as well. It was kind of strange though to seek solace in an animal. Wouldn't ti be better to talk to people someone of his own race that could actually communicate with him rather than a puppy. There was no way he could understand it and he doubt it would be able to give him comforting words that his family members had provided him when he was still a young boy.
His deep musing though was soon demolished by a girl with black hair that stoop down to pet the puppy. A part of him wondered if she even knew if he was here or not since she didn't even greet him. Instead her eyes only had one focus and that was the creature that resided in its little box. She had black hair that was similar to his own but that wasn't uncommon. Actually black hair was rather common but what got him was her blue orbs. She really did almost look like his mother well except not as old. Actually she looked younger than him even. He didn't give his usual customary smile. Not because he hated her, oh no he barely knew her despite the fact that he had seen her face many times before. Oh yes he had seen her alright. She was one of Azure's friends but many of the servants saw her as the monster that caused them more work. Yes they're life as servants would be rather easy that most of the other servants would envy if it wasn't for her. How she always caused a mess do to one of her cooking. At times he would even hear the servants wonder to themselves why someone like Azure would have someone like her for a friend as it was obvious from her clothes that she was no in the upper class. None would their voice their inquiry to the first son though as they knew better.
Albel though had never really complained about it. The male saw it more as an opportunity than an actual bother since most of the servants would not want to do the cleaning so they would usually pay him which he would gladly take. Anything in the name of money right? Well except for killing people or doing anything that many would see as illegal. There would be no point in earning money if you can't use it while in jail. That was why he avoided anything illegal or any form of gambling for that matter. The stakes was too high and money was far too valuable just to throw it in some pile knowing that there was always a chance you would never get it back or perhaps even worse. Still he never really knew anything besides the fact that she was the friend of one of his many masters in the house. He doubt she would recognized him though since he was a servant and therefore he usually blended in the many arrays of the staff in the house.
So why did he not smile at her presence like he usually would with anyone else? It was simple he was rather in shock on how she had suddenly appeared without such warnings. Usually he would see someone familiar come up to him or have some kind of warning but she just seem to materialized from thin air. It was rather creepy really? He even scanned the area to see any signs of the blue haired male but she seems to be here alone.
"Awwhhh~!" She had squealed like a little child. Really she didn't seem to be someone around Azure's age. Rather she appeared to be like a little kid the way her eyes had lit up for the sole attention of the dog that seems to rather enjoy the attention it was getting. "You poor thing.. Who would leave such an adorable puppy out on the streets like this?" Now that was a rather good question. Who could leave such a thing in the streets where it might die if it doesn't get picked up? It was so cute and affectionate as well. In the back of his mind he had wondered if it got its shots yet even. If it didn't then he highly doubt it could survive for long under such conditions. The idea brought a small frown on his features as he remembered about that man who had left him and his family without any hint of regrets in debut no less. He was barely being able to pay for it off even.
Soon she glanced at him looking rather...angry? Why? He tilted his head a bit confused as she spoke. "O-Or is this your dog?" It was not a question that sounded rather...kind. No instead it was a bit of disappointment. He shook his head though. If he owned the dog it would be back at home already. "No. I can't even afford a dog." he spoke but as the last part escaped his mouth he realized that it wasn't exactly the smartest thing to say. After all the reason why most people abandon their pet was because they could not afford to take care of it. Him admitting that fact...only made it seem more like he was lying. Well that surely was not a good idea. Maybe she won't think of it that way? He could he take it back? Would she think anything of it?
