the crisp sweet smell of more than a thousand volts running through the air was enough to make her a little more than excited. today was a nice and cool day, nothing that was scorching hot or freezing cold. it was just simply prefect and the eighteen year old couldn't ask for anything better than this.

there could probably be at least a thousand and one excuses to explain why milli was even at the power plant, but did it really matter? she was just there minding her own business, she wasn't disturbing anything...well besides the peace that once inhabited the area. as a soft breeze threaded through smooth dark brown hair, a single hand held in front of her as golden eyes shut closed.

she was here, mind as well do a little training while she was at it and with all the electricity running wild in the area, it was only adding to her pure pleasure. sucking in some oxygen, milli breath out as she focused her power into her hand; forming its shape until it became a complete bow. smirking likely, she was pleased that she hadn't lost her touch yet.

"looks like i've still got it.", sounding absolutely pleased with herself. her free hand reached and pulling it back until an arrow was finally formed. "now all that's left is aim and fire." mumbling in pure excitement as she kept her eye on the target that had been formed ahead. taking a another deep breath, milli fired the arrow at full speed as sparks began to fly.

letting her power subside, the woman held her hand out like a gun and said, "bang!" yes, she was quite egotistical and if she wasn't mistaken, she was sure it ran in the family. probably after growing up with her stupid cousin, spike, she was sure she picked up a lot of things from him in their childhood. shaking her head slightly, milli slumped her bag on the ground and pulled out her claws. now, if only she had someone to train with. sigh.

Was it strange that he was here? For an Aerokinetic to be in a place that was an electrokinetic's haven. Well probably but Zeph was never part of the norm. Then again now that he thought about it, most of the people in his life weren't either. A part of him sometimes wonder if the term normal really exist. Chances are probably not from what he had seen. Everyone always have quirks that differentiated them from others whether they have powers or not. So the word normal meant nothing to him really which might have been why he spent time here without a care in the world. Sure he had other places he should be one of it being home where he was safe but what's life without a little adventure right? Besides he was sure that most of the servants were happy that he wasn't currently home anyway. He was rarely ever home as well. Home was just far too boring at times, especially when he is being watched.

That was why this was a good hide out. Not many of his clan would dare step here due to the fact that electricity was their weakness. Putting on his sunglasses to cover his blue orbs, as he silently prayed that no one would know who he was, he walked down to the power plant. Why? Well he just felt like it. He had been in it a couple of times before and had seen the many abilities that electrokinetics can do and it was quite a sight. At times he found himself envying them as well. To easily be able to destroy wind as if it was nothing. Even his own ability to create wind sharp enough to cut people felt like nothing when he sees the bolt. Also lightning was more useful than wind after all it is this power plant that even let technology advance. Although there were things he supposed that wind can do that lightning can't but they were never much in his eyes. Wind was just far too peaceful for his liking but oh well he can't choose his powers. At least it's better than having no powers at all.

His hands in his pockets his eyes soon caught a girl creating a bow through electricity. Not bad. He kept quiet to watch what she was going to do. An arrow appeared but it wasn't made of wood. No it was made out of electricity and he stared at her as she shot the arrow. A bit impressed by her ability he whistled and clapped his ever present smile on his face. The male wondered if she was going to think that it was sarcasm from the smile on his face. He wouldn't exactly blamed her even if he meant it...a little bit. He had seen better skills but then again that was from the first son or those older than her.

"Wow. That's quite amazing." he complimented her although his voice did sound a little mocking. Maybe it was out of habit or maybe a part of him wanted her to misunderstand him. In his mind it was always better to be misunderstood than to be comprehended. "What's your name?" he asked tilting his head. Despite the fact that he was positive he had never met her before, which was why he had asked for her name in the first place, his tone was one of familiarity. As if they have been friends for a long time.

looking over her shoulder, milli noticed someone else; someone who wasn't of her family apparently. it was easy enough to know that much just from the looks of it; the other carried a certain air about them. she could only hear what sounded like sarcasm from his voice as her eyes glared darkly before brush it off simply. she wasn't going to let sarcastic remarks get to her; reap what you sow? she sure as hell wasn't going to reap anything.

giving him the once over, the teen was sure she had seen this guy once before in her life. hanging around her family for too long and you'll meet more than a enough freaks to last you a lifetime. there were certainly a lot of families, but none that she was really interested in meeting that much since it had nothing to do with her at all. that was the head's and spike's problem, not hers.

pulling out of her thoughts, she noticed that he had asked for her name. "my name is millicent alexii, but milli is just fine." she hated her name, it was completely old fashioned and she was more than certain that no one else in the whole world had a name like hers. although, she could have gotten worse...no doubt about that. considering her parents were freaks for uniqueness.

"and who are you?" cocking a brow at him, "i'm sure i've seen you around, but i'm not one to memorize names." if it didn't concern her then she really didn't give a crap at all. though she would hate if he was one of the people who'd she banged then dropped in less than a day. milli had quite a habit for those sort of things sometimes, well, not that she could really help herself much.

not really waiting for his answer, golden eyes focused on her weapons. securing strap on her small wrists firmly, both hands gripped on the metal plates inside as she ran her power through them. sparking with with excited electricity, the claws glowed happily causing her to smile was a split second, only realizing she was on the presence of another.

Millicent, such a tedious name. So long too. He hated names that were long and usually finds himself shortening names for better or for worse. Most of the time it was the later though. Zephyr nodded as she gave him her nick name. Milli. He supposed it was to be expected with her name. Although one thing did interested him. She was from the Alexii family which meant that she was one of the five noble clans. Hmm, perhaps they have met before at some party then? Who knows, he himself never usually paid much attention to the nobles at the party unless they were one of the ones which barely any of the noble's blood. Now those were very fun to watch, seeing them try to please those that were born better than them.

At her question he chuckled. "My my how rude of me." he stated shaking his head as if he was ashamed of himself. He rubbed the back of his head as he quickly sorted out a name. Any name would had been good for him really. "I'm Noah Nox. A pleasure to meet you" he stated giving her his usual friendly smile. A part of him was worried that he had been caught but it seems that she couldn't exactly place where. Well seeing that she was one of the five nobles he was quite lucky. Now to come up with a good excuse. "Really? An Alexii to have think she might recognize me? Why I am honored. We might have been each other somewhere I guess. I do come here quite often." he stated before twirling a lock of his silver hair.

He took note of the claws though. Seeing that she wasn't exactly one of the commoners he wasn't surprised. After she had to protect herself in case someone wants to kidnap her for ransom or something like that right? "So tell me what is someone like you doing in such a dangerous place like this" he asked slightly patronizing her for fun. It was obvious from her behavior and the fact that she was one of the higher class families, she must really hated being treated so lowly. Especially by someone that appeared to be in the middle class.

Yes it was quite strange but Zephyr does not usually wear clothes made from good materials. He had always prefer to wear common clothes. Why? Well even he doesn't know. It was just among one of his many whims. I'm sure someone in the Alexii family must be worried about you."

this guy talked too much, WAY too much. it was like he was nit picking at one of her worse pet peeves at the moment. keeping herself absolutely composed she tried to block him out from her mind; although at the moment she would give anything to drive a few volts through his body right now. milli hated talkativeness and people who asked way too many questions. she didn't mind curiosity, but this was simply ridiculous.

sighing heavily, the sound of his name really concerned her because she wasn't sure whether or not he was lying to her. it didn't matter, but she didn't like being lied to; humans were such trivial beings. milli rolled her eyes at the sound of the name; he sounded like he was having the time of his life with her and that was something she wasn't very comfortable with.

what was with this noah person? there was something definitely abnormal about him, something that she couldn't quite put her finger on, but now it was seriously bothering the hell out of her. "hm, who knows, not that i really care about it anyways." her tone was stoic, dead of any emotion. "most likely saw you at those damn parties my mother forces me to attend." she was aware of her relations with the family, but was it necessary to force her into something that she hated.

as she let the words slip through her lips, milli couldn't help, but doubt she saw him at the parties. there was no way in hell she saw anyone in clothes of a commoner. it was simply unlikely, such drab was unappealing and was only meant for the poor. glance him over once again, she was sure that this noah guy couldn't possibly get into a party filled with nobility, though there were times when idiots who believed they had certain prestige entering with some hesitations. well, it didn't matter.

"So tell me what is someone like you doing in such a dangerous place like this"

the side of her lip twitched as milli tried her best not to snap at this guy. it was obvious that he was making fun of her, patronizing her. she felt like she was being treated like a child by this guy. here she was, an eighteen year old woman being treated like a a five year old brat; and what did he mean by 'someone like her'? was it was problem?! she was aware of the dangers and she still came anyways, this was her turf and she would come and go as she pleased.

"i needed some peace and quiet." which was obviously being stolen from this idiot, "my mother is quite a noisy character today." just like this idiot, "she has the habit of using me as her dress up doll." milli was sure a vain was visible, she wanted to cut this guy in half, but she wasn't going to show her true emotions to this freak.

I'm sure someone in the Alexii family must be worried about you."

"and i'm sure that's none of your business, noah." her power, which had only been at forty percent at the time, soon rose to about ninety-five percent just with the short conversation they were having. which was more like him talking and her getting pissed off every time he opened those big flapping lips of his. she had forgotten she was wearing the claws now; milli had noted the light was becoming brighter than it was way earlier. her temper was already at its limit, anymore and she'll be after his blood.

When she mentioned the party only to dismiss it Zephyr was glad that he had good control of himself as on the inside he was laughing. Life was just so ironic. One of the things he liked about it actually. Just how ironic it can be, especially with the lovely Milli that was in front of him right now. After all he had a hunch that it bothered her slightly, if not then why mention it? It might have been conscious or subconscious he wasn't sure nor did he really care. Just the fact that she had mentioned it was good enough to please him. Since he didn't have much information on her he was simply testing to see what would get her and what would not. Although he knew he was treading on thin ice right now especially seeing how she would most likely have the advantage in battle.

At the patronization he saw her lips twitch. It was subtle but thanks to his good perception he saw it. His smile widened slightly at the sight. Yes this was going to be easy, he dealt with her type before. Namely at the parties though but that was good enough. Now he had something to go on.

Oh so she was here for peace? Hmm this wasn't exactly the location he had in mind when the word peace comes to his mind but then again she was an electrokinetic so maybe this was good enough for her? As she talked about her mother though the male did roll his eyes but he doubt she saw it with how squinted they were. Really, it was something he had heard many times. Most of the noble kids don't get freedom because they are used in public. Of course their parents would want them controlled and to look good so that they in turn would look good as well. It wasn't anything new to him at all. Not one bit but he nodded as if he could sympathize with her. Well in a way he did because whenever he had to go to a party or go to one of his father's little speeches he would always have to dress nice. Not that he didn't mind since the clothes does make him feel better than what he usually wore. What bothered him though was the fact that he got bored at it. It was as simple as that. Sure there was also the lack of freedom but that didn't bother him as much as the boredom really.

At her remark to his continuation he noted that her powers had obviously increased. Oh looks like someone really needed to get a better control of their power now huh? "My my how true. I am terrible sorry" What she said was true, he had nothing to do with her. Still he was curious to see how far she could go. Just how much will it be before she loses control. Only when that happens he would have to be careful. "Hm you remind me of a cat." he stated staring at her claw. It was natural for him to compare people to animals really. Most of the time people took it was an insult since most believed themselves to be better than animals. Although to Zephyr it was just a small comparison. Besides, most of the people he compared are usually beneath animals in his eyes. "Really easy to anger." he chimed.

golden eyes shut, she had to calm the hell down before she did something that she was going to regret later. well, not regret, that was too kind of her, but she didn't need the head going after her head for killing someone. there had been too many almost in her childhood that milli had to be extremely careful. she had a fairly good amount of control, but there were just a lot of people like this guy that like to hit a nerve more than once.

breathing in calmly, the power was beginning to subside to a point that it was almost idle. she didn't glow, but she could still zap the crap out of this guy if she wanted to. unwrapping her claws, milli figured if she kept them on then there would be no stopping her from clawing out this guy's eyes. though, the thought of it wasn't so bad actually. smirking lightly to herself she wondered how her little 'fantasy' would play out if it actually happened.

she laughed, not a joyous one, but one that was a little too sadistic. finally putting the sharp items safely back in her bag once again. milli looked at noah hearing his apology though she picked up from the sound of it that it wasn't as apologetic as it should be. still, she let it slide; she figured the other had his fill of joy, but as always, she was wrong.

she figured she would get pissed off once she heard him compare her to a cat, but actually she just laughed. milli wasn't sure if it was a wholehearted laugh or if her insanity was finally kicking in. she never really lasted long with people like him. normally she would just go straight for the kill, but she actually endured regardless of what this guy could think.

"a cat, huh? guess that's better than being called lucifer." speaking lightly, she wasn't going to let him get to her anymore or at least she was going to try not to let him get to her. "probably the sweetest thing you've said all day." her tone was completely obnoxious, she was already at point of wanting to kill him so her polite behavior was completely killed by him; then again, she wasn't particularly kind to begin with.

"Really easy to anger."

milli rolled her eyes, seriously, she just let him get away with call her an animal; this guy was just really asking to get killed now, wasn't he? she didn't respond to his remark, there was no point in it since he was the only one enjoying this conversation here. sighing heavily, she leaned against a cooling tower. "i doubt if your done patronizing me, but what the hell are you doing here?" speaking bitterly, "it's obvious that your not electrokinetic." that much she could point out, but she wasn't exactly sure what exactly he was. just knew that he was completely opposite from her.

What a shame what a shame, it seems Milli was calming down. Now he won't be able to see the full extent of her power that he had to admit he was quite curious about. Like a little kid who couldn't ride a bike, he wanted to watch others do it and imagine himself being able to have that skill. To wonder what it feels like and what he could do with it. It was strange, he knew that very well. It was a bad habit as well but he didn't care for it much. To want something that you can't have, that was natural for him. That was why he wanted to see everything that she can do and compare it to others he had seen before.Oh well maybe he'll find another opening or if not he could always look for someone else. It wasn't like she was the only one after all.

Suddenly he heard a laugh. Oh dear, had she cracked? He barely pushed her at all. It usually takes a lot more, especially for her type. Then again she did say that her mom was being nosy so that might have already set her somewhere near the edge and Zephyr's little light push might have been a bit too much. Despite her laughter though his smile was still there as if he never heard it. He didn't question her little laugh nor did he poke fun of it. No he had simply waited, waited to see what was going to happen. He had expected her to come charging at him but she had put her little weapon away.

At her reply to his comment he arched a brow. Lucifer? Now that was going a bit too far. Besides Lucifer doesn't really fit for someone like her. Maybe for someone that controls fire but not her. Besides Lucifer was cunning and kept his calm. This girl, Millicent Alexii was obviously not from what he had seen. Calling her Lucifer would had probably be a compliment. How tempting it was to say that but he was able to hold back the urge. Her next statement made him chuckle. "Really? What about when I complemented on your skills? he asked playing along pretending that he didn't her the obnoxious overundertone. Strangely whether she knew it or not, that had actually been a compliment. One of the rare ones he gave out. Of course with his usual mocking tone he didn't blame her for not getting it.

"I just wanted to take a small walk." came his answer. It was as simple as that. Then again his reasons were always simple because he was rather detached from the world. He didn't deal with the drama of families and friends because he made sure not to care for them. He didn't have to deal with the pressure people gave him simply because he didn't care what others thought of him most of the time. That was why he considered himself a simple man really. It was not like Milli who had to deal with what sounds like an overbearing mother and simply wanting to have some little freedom. No, that was something he rather avoid, letting the actions of others affecting him.

Her next statement made Zephyr tilt his head like an innocent little child. "Oh? What makes you say that?" he asked not confirming nor denying the statement.

she simply frowned at him, what compliment was he exactly giving her? as far as she knew, it was just insult after insult that she was getting from this guy. shaking her head to herself, "well, thank you for your so-called compliment then." mumbling softly as she looked off to the side. she wasn't sure why she was thanking this guy, nothing he did that was worth a thanks really.

well, whatever, it didn't matter, all she knew was that she had to remain as calm as possible around him. he wasn't going to leave her alone, not until he got his fill. that much she could already point out without having to voice it. resting the back of her head against the cooling tower, she looked up at the thousands of wires that traveled above her. she loved this place even though she often got yelled at for come here alone.

at least she had an excuse, this time she wasn't alone at least, but it was probably a company that she would rather live without at the moment. her mother was always on the safe side, never letting her take risks; she loved the woman to death, but she was a little more uptight than she needed to be. milli needed a little freedom from the alexii family; there was more to her than being the cousin of the infamous first son. sighing, she looked back at 'noah' unsure what look she should give him.

a walk? this place wasn't exactly a walk in the park. more like if you weren't careful enough, you'll basically die. well, not that she was one to judge now was she? coming here for peace and quiet, probably not exactly the best place for that. guess everyone needed an escape once in awhile; his problems were probably completely different from hers though. ah well.

"Oh? What makes you say that?"

she remained silent for a minute, it wasn't something that she could exactly explain to someone really. "hm, just a feeling i guess," milli spoke softly, "but then again...i'm not sure if you're human anymore." the small joke left her lips, but part of her was being entirely honest at the same time.

At her very minuscule sign of gratitude, especially with how uncertain he was, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "I'm hurt. So-called? Just when I meant it to. After all it must take concentration to materialize a weapon using electricity especially with no form of guidance. he replied. It was fun to see how she doubted the truth thinking it was a lie. The sight always amused him. He never knew why though, a taste he knew that he did not obtain back then. Guess it must have been the times he spent with Isadora. She always was a she-devil, not that he minded it. She entertained him after all. Then again he was quite bored these days that just about everyone did. Yet like Eli Ellie she always did stood out for him. He didn't know why and he didn't dare try to for his own reasons. It's better just to accept it and move on anyway.

At his answer to her little question, he made a quick note that she didn't reply. She didn't point out the fact that a power plant was not a place to take a stroll. Why? Did she find it to be hypocritical since her answer wasn't any better? Actually their answers might as well be the same thing since they were both trying to get away from something. Zeph being boredom and her being her mother. Still they chose a place that was not really for peace and quiet or for a walk. "I suppose strange people are attracted to each other." he commented lightheartedly chuckling at the end. It was true though. He always found himself attracted to the abnormal and finding the norm rather dull and it seems that they felt the same as well. At least the two people he was thinking of anyway.

Hmm? Just a feeling? Well then she was rather perceptional. Yet what she said after, he little joke. Instantly that smile was wiped from his face replaced with a small frown. Not human huh? He slowly proceeded over to her. "How perceptive of you. You are right, I'm not...human exactly." he spoke the cheeriness in his voice was gone. The warmth of familiarity replaced by cold apathy. He stopped right in front of her and leaned over to her ears. "I'm what you call a spirit." his words, he made sure to speak it quietly but yet still loud enough for her to hear. Slowly he edged away giving her mind a small moment to register the new personality.

Yet it was not long...not even ten seconds really did he laughed and his smile returned. "Just kidding~. Although it would had been pretty interesting huh? he asked her once again the warmth and cheerfulness came back. He walked over to one of the poles and leaned on it without much of a care in the world. "But no I assure you I'm human...or at least I think I am anyway." he stated purposely having that small pause just for the fun of it.

In truth though the male hated...no was sacred of ghosts. Yet he had pretended to be one. To play with one's fear. Well that wasn't exactly new really. After all humans play with their fears all the time that was how the horror genre of multmedia ever came to be in the first place.
