When her cousin asked if she had been causing trouble for everyone, Izzy couldn't help but surpress her giggle and turn it in to a wounded, shocked look. Oh, how she loved to put on these plays of emotions, these different masks that were so much fun. It was amusing to watch the people break their backs to make her feel better, while she showed them a false face. It was even better when she had an audience that could appreciate her acting and knew what was going on behind it, such as Zeph. He could interpret her real feelings like a book. Well, most of the time. Izzy liked to think that there were still parts of her that he had yet to understand and baffled him, and would continuously do so until the day one of them died. A girl should always have her secrets, especially one such as Isadora.
And Izzy had a lot of secrets, after all. It would hardly be fair if everyone knew them all. Then there would be nothing for her to live for. Yes, Izzy's secrets meant that much to her. Secrecy was too much fun to be ignored, so naturally, it must be expanded. Some of her secrets were just hidden facts that were waiting to be revealed to the world at the right time, some that she could use to blackmail. Her most cherished secret- well, not really secret, pretty much everyone knew about it- of the moment was her knowledge of Zeph's affection for Dani, the head of their house. What made it even better was the fact that they were cousins. And the thing about it that made Isa's day was the fact that Alice, Zeph's twin, absolutely hated, deplored, despised Dani. Oh, it made her laugh indeed. In a friendly, cousinly way of course, like any relative would do if their cousin liked their other cousin.
Dani, being Dani, of course didn't know anything about it, which was just too cute. And Alice....was Alice. She hated Dani for giving the first son position to her twin Zeph, which was indeed bitter news to bear. But still, despite all of the drama going on in her family, Izzy couldn't help but keep her usual dark teasing spirit about it. This was entertainment, pure and simple. Well, maybe not simple, and there wasn't much that was pure about it either, but still. It was funny, and that's what counted.
Back to the present matter at hand, however. The grey-haired girl, still wearing a hurt surprised expression on her face, brought her hand up and placed it over her heart. Well, at least where her heart was supposed to be. She still wasn't entirely sure if there wasn't a dark black pit there and that somehow, the blood in her body kept getting pumped. It would just have to remain a mystery for the moment. Izzy opened her mouth, letting a dry sob consume her voice to make it sound more pathetic than ever. "Me, cause trouble? Zeph, would I do such a thing?" then, the sad girl was gone, to be replaced by a sly fox, who fluttered her long lashes in an exaggerated wink.
"But c'mon Zeph," she said, replacing her sly persona with her regular person and leaning forwards. "Spill the beans. Anyone in particular you'd like to ask about?" this was, yet again, one of her sly insouciances about Dani. But this question wasn't just about poking at Dani. It was also, in her own indirect way, a question asking him who else he wanted to know about. She set out to reassure him before he could answer her. "Well, as far as I can tell, no one who's yours has toed the line, except for me of course. But I'm easily bored, so we must make exceptions. Besides, those people were so cute for the first few days...." her eyes misted over at distant memories, before she raised her cup and casually sipped her tea. God, she really did love this kind.

† Take the pain † † Take the pleasure †At first there was a chuckle from the girl who looked like a snake happy to finally be caught doing something. Yet as quickly as it came it was replaced by a hurt shock look like a girl who has never done wrong was accused. Really for a moment the first thing that came to his mind had been Mirany when he had changed and started accusing her of doing things wrong. It was mainly whenever a servant dropped something and she was in the area he would pretend to not know and blame her for it. The servants never spoke back and the first time there was a look of shock and pain etched on her face. Thinking back on it he couldn't help but wonder. Did she know that he knew it wasn't her fault or did she really thought that was the case? It matters not though since it was something done with.
The look on Mirany had been real but the look on Isadora. Well he could see it was fake quite easily but didn't make any acknowledgment to that fact. He never needed to, she always knew that he can see right through it. It was a silent mutual understanding, as simple as that really. They were strange that way as they never need any words to communicate and no it wasn't because he could read her mind. If he could it would make his life a lot easier. After all she always seems to know or is one step ahead of the game. He never understood how, she always predicted him rather well. Might had been because she was more experienced in the game of sadists then he was.
"Me, cause trouble? Zeph, would I do such a thing?" she asked appalled. There were several answers that came to his mind. The fact that she was the incarnation of evil, she was a snake, she was a spawn of the devil, she was simply born that way but the one that seems rather prominent was "Because Eli always warned me that you would do evil when I'm away and we know he would never lie to me." he spoke bringing up the one man that probably hated her the most. Of course it was always because she was the female version of Zephyr. Ironic really since she was the one that was a sadist before he was. Yet she was always compared to him, rarely was it ever the other way around.
"But c'mon Zeph," she urged him leaning forward. "Spill the beans. Anyone in particular you'd like to ask about?" How persistent and the way she leaned on him. Part of the male expected her to pull out an apple any time now and offer it. "Nope~ just the Wilson household in general." he stated not letting anything. The girl already knew quite a bit about him. He didn't exactly wanted to risk anything around her. She didn't press on either she had given up or was trying to get his guard down. "Well, as far as I can tell, no one who's yours has toed the line, except for me of course. But I'm easily bored, so we must make exceptions. Besides, those people were so cute for the first few days...." So Mirany has been behaving, Dani isn't hurt and Alice is doing training well as usual. Okay then that was good. He didn't want to arrive home to find out his possessions were broken in some way.
Exceptions though. The first son hated making exceptions for anything since it was a sign of weakness and well that just can't be allowed in the five noble clans. Oh no, it just won't do. Although Isadora wasn't exactly high on power so she can do whatever she wanted. "Exceptions huh? So who's heart did you break?" he asked. Despite the context his voice was rather happy as if he was asking how her day was. In a way he might as well have.

Isadora did not answer her cousin immediately. First, she lifted her cup up again and delicately drained the last of the scarlet liquid inside it. After the last copper drop was gone, she set down her whimsically designed tea cup and stared at it sadly. No more tea. All gone. It had been such good tea too. She would have to remember this place in the future, and make up elaborate excuses to walk by here as often as possible. Settling back in her chair with a contented sigh, Izzy remembered just in time Zeph's report on Eli's words. A mockingly sad expression grew on her face yet again, except this time, it was much more exaggerated.
"Oh, I can't believe Eli would say that about me," Izzy replied, emphasing the 'me'. "Besides," she added reasonably. "How could he possibly know what I do behind your back when you're gone? Unless he's watching me..." the grey-haired girl let that thought trail off, her eyes darting from side to side, as if expecting the blue-haired male in question was hiding behind a table, or perhaps a coat stand. But of course Eli wasn't there. How strange would that have been? Very is the answer. The head of the Ramsey family tried to stay away from Izzy as much as he possibly could, though in the farthest reaches of her brain Izzy couldn't fathom why. A real mystery, it was, one that would undoubtedly go unsolved.
Of course, Izzy knew very well why Eli didn't like her that much. It was her ressemblance to her dearest cousin Zephyr, of course, who had had the pleasure of torturing Eli from occasion to occasion. She wasn't even his twin, and yet, she knew people always thought of him when they thought of her. It was probably the hair. Or maybe the personality, though her hair was much prettier and longer than his, and her personality had always been twisted. Zeph had been the innocent one as a child, and oh so much fun to tease, but not anymore. Now he was her equal, in tormenting at least. Certainly not in the hair department. Izzy reached up with a tapered finger and tucked a loose strand of grey hair behind her ear. It was getting too long, maybe it was time to get it cut......
Shaking herself out of her musing just in time, Izzy gave her cousin a grin before contemplating his question, tapping a finger against her chin as she thought long and hard. Oh, it was so difficult to remember the mundane sometimes.....there had been a girl she had played with for a while, but that had just sort of petered off, and then that other person.....ah yes! The boy. He had been older than her by far, but Izzy always called people children, even if they were full grown out of their kid-hood. He had had darkish hair, she was sure, and had towered over her by a lot. But, being Isadora, she had gotten bored of him quite quickly, and tossed him away. He hadn't taken it very well, if her memory served.
Propping her chin on both hands, she told Zeph as much. "Well, I can't remember them all, they were so tedious, but there was this one boy; very cute, dark, tall. He wasn't too happy when I got tired. He's probably stalking me," amused by this thought, the girl gave a sudden giggle. Now that she thought of it, she had seen him around in places that he wouldn't normally be in. How cute! "Stalkers are fuuunny," Izzy informed Zeph, drawling out the word to emphasize it, before standing up suddenly and skipping towards the door. "I hope you're paying, Zephie," she said, standing by the doorway. "I haven't got a dime on me!" snickering, she skipped out the door. This way, he would be forced to pay for her. It's not like the shopowner would call her back in, anyways.

The streets had filled up since the brief time she and Zephyr had entered the tea shop. Isadora blinked, taking in all the people rushing about, no doubt busy with the chores of their daily lives. She was lucky in that respect. She didn't have to do menial things like that. No, instead, Izzy got to play all day, thanks to the fact she was a Wilson, and thank goodness she was. She'd hate to have to live a plain ordinary life, like one those people in the streets were no doubt living. Just thinking about it made her shake her head in a delicate shudder. To be forced to settle in to a routine, to have to work every day......how monotonous! Those poor, poor people. The grey-haired girl felt a bit sorry for them, her being in one of her rare empathetic moods, and allowed herself one small sigh for them. Good thing she was herself and not them.
Shaking off all her apologetic feelings and forgetting them instantly, she turned to Zeph as he exited the tea shop in her wake and started walking with him down the roads. He was carrying his cat again, the one that had led Isadora to her cousin in the first place. Remembering she hadn't rewarded it for it's part in her discovery of Zephyr, she reached over with a slender hand and gave it a good scratch behind it's ears. Was it a boy or a girl? She couldn't remember. Now Izzy was missing her cat, her wonderful grey Zoliath, her little half-stray. Zoliath had wandered off a few weeks ago and she hadn't seen the cat since, though Isadora wasn't as concerned as another owner might have been. Her Lie, as she affectionately called the feline, could take care of itself. Isadora would have been more worried if Zoliath never left. Cats were a very independant species, and Izzy felt that they should be able to take care of themselves. But now she was wondering where Lie was. Ah well, Zoliath would show up at one point or another, and for now, she could content herself with Snow. "Zeph, I've forgotten, is your cat a boy, or a girl?" she voiced, pointing her other hand at Snow.
Isa frowned a little when Zeph suggested he give her a haircut. It wasn't the idea of a haircut that was repelling; no, on the contrary, a trim would be quite lovely right now. But the idea of allowing her cousin near her with a pair of sharp objects in his hand wasn't exactly one that made her feel at ease. "Zeph, I'm trying to think up of a reason for me to let you near me with scissors, and I can't find one, apart from the obvious, of course." She was doing the right thing. Trusting Zeph with a pair of scissors would just be.....wrong. Izzy just knew that somehow, something would go awry.
With that, she went back to looking at the cat. It really was a handsome specimen, but had nothing on her Zoly. Quickly, Izzy made up her mind. "Hey, do you think you could help me find my cat? I'm feeling lonesome for Zoliath right about now," If anyone could find Zoly, it would be Zephyr. He was almost like a cat himself, one that liked to catch little mice and then play with them before eating them. What a fitting comparison. She really was getting more and more creative every day, she really was.

† take the pain † † take the pleasure †† tag: isadora † words: 1103† †; note: BOOM and the world exploded from such bad post † When Zephyr had seen her scratch Snow by the ear and hearing his pet purr in delight he wasn't exactly happy. He was content he supposed but not happy. Sure as a master he liked seeing his pet be taken care of. As hard as it is to believe he did have a soft spot for animals but it was for that same reason that he wasn't happy. He didn't like it when his possessions are touched without permission. Still he kept that smile nonetheless but the moment her hand left the creature he started to groom its fur. "Zeph, I've forgotten, is your cat a boy, or a girl?" He stared at her his hand still grooming the fur. "Both Snow and Midnight are male." came his answer.
It was one of the reasons why it really annoyed dear Ellie when the silver hair male decides that Lolli needed a play date. Perhaps if his own two cats had been female it would not had mattered but the fact that not one but both of them were males. That had only caused problems. The poor head just couldn't let his cat go, how possessive. He felt sorry for the thing almost being bored all day only having interactions of Eli. Now that would be a rather sad life just have interaction with one person. It was a life he cold not stand for and so from the mercy of his heart he would take the creature back to his house so she can have some friends. Besides it seems to make Snow and Midnight happy. He was okay with his pets playing with other creatures as long as none of them were human. They were to only have one master and that was no one other than Zephyr Wilson. It was that simple. He might have to share the servants with other people...such as Mirany. He hated how she was official the Wilson's servant. She was pretty much his, he knew her longer and he was the one who had taken care of her whenever he could when they were young playing with her. So wouldn't that just mean that she was his? Too bad the papers don't say so but once he becomes head he suppose he could always change that. That is to say if his plans don't succeed. Maybe he should take her with him so then he could know someone once he reaches to the land outside of this stupid island. Sure there was Isaac but the guy doesn't seem to like him very much like...most people actually.
It was rather sad but he never really cared about it that much since at least there were some who can tolerate him...to some extent. Well there was Isadora but he always pushed it by calling her Dora and then there was Eli who he calls Ellie. Of course there was Dani but she doesn't really know him so at times he wondered if she really counted. Then there was Mirany but she was a servant, she was paid to deal with him whenever he was home. So in a way she didn't count either due to the fact that it was conditional. Then again society was conditional. To make friends you have to nice no matter what or else they would hate you. The only reason why people be nice in the first place was to form bonds for their own uses anyway. Of course that is except for those who are just talented at getting what they want no matter what.
When he had suggested to cut her hair himself she had frowned. Awws that really hurt his heart. Well it would if it wasn't for the fact that he had sold it to the devil so he can gain back his soul anyway. No, the devil was no Isadora. It was the real devil horns and everything. At least that was the story he had made up to entertain himself and to why he had suddenly became so sadistic. Of course it was not true. He has never seen the devil besides the personification anyway which is strangely female. "Zeph, I'm trying to think up of a reason for me to let you near me with scissors, and I can't find one, apart from the obvious, of course." Not just a frown but an outright rejection as well. Oh how evil of her. He smiled though and stated "What about safety scissors? Besides I'm good with cutting stuff.". Oh yes, if he could do it he would cut up all of her hair and make her hideously bald. Then no one would want to come near her and he could have his playmate all to himself. Now won't that be fun? Of course that is to say if even he wants her after that which was not something he was sure of.
Still he did not press on since he knew no was a no. It was very hard to change her mind or at least for him it was anyway. The Wilson's first son's attention went back to his cat until she spoke up once again."Hey, do you think you could help me find my cat? I'm feeling lonesome for Zoliath right about now," Cat? Oh the stray. He pouted his lips though. "Oh? But I'm right here Dora so you're not alone." he spoke. It was true after all but then again maybe seeing with the cat had caused her to miss it. He must say this side of her was rather cute...if it wasn't for the fact that she was a sadist perhaps he would had done it right away. Nah, he'll do it anyway. He isn't that interested in going straight home and besides, he wouldn't want the poor cat to be alone. "Then again, Zoly might be feeling lonesome right now." he spoke rather thoughtfully. "Time to hunt the cat~" he chirped although he doesn't really know much about the cat due to the fact that he was rarely home. From what he knew it was pretty much a stray which was only going to make things harder. Not that he minded, he always did like a challenge and besides the harder it is the more time he would waste and the less time boredom can take from him. This was working out rather well for him as in the end he was never helping Isadora. Oh no, Zephyr was not a kind man. Instead he was helping out himself but that was only to be expected.
